gotta root for Dallas even though I hate the the Philly fans as much as I hate TO. Philthy is the bigger threat, scarier team and I can't stand the though of them winning the division again. All the press these fans are getting right now makes me sick. When was the last time the skins fans were featured on sportscenter?

No way in hell I root for Dallas.

But you DID pick them to win against us in the Hognostications NFL Week 2. Enjoy.

I thought they were going to win, correctly I might add.

I also picked the Giants to beat us but do you really think that means I was rooting for the Giants today?

I'm not gonna let my personal feelings influence how I pick. I never let my love of the Redskins and hatred of Cowboys influence my gambling.

Ya think parcells is making a point to T.O. by not getting him the ball at all in today's game.

I told my father how good I was doing but he told me I was dumb for always picking the Skins.

Did you guys see Roy get beat deep there?

HAHAHAHA

It's absolutely ridiculous that he goes to the Pro Bowl year after year.

He also got beat horribly by LJ Smith on a long play in the first quarter.

You must be out of your mind to think I'd ever cheer for Dallas. Even if I had picked them to win this game (not that I've picked them to win ever :) ), I wouldn't root for them.

You have to get treatment for that gambling addiction of yours. You know that.

As far as the Skins, you may say what you might, I do not think much of it.

Honestly RIC, you're taking this too seriously man. I picked the Giants bc I thought they would win. Isn't that the whole point of Hognostications? To pick the team you think will win every game right? I also picked he Eagles to beat Dallas bc I thought they would win, not because I hate the Cowboys. I see that Dallas is hosting Houston this week, so I'll be picking the Cowboys. Of course, I'll be rooting for the Texans to spring the upset but let's face it, that is highly unlikely.

I wish more than anything else in the world that I had been wrong about the Giants game but I was right. We ALWAYS struggle in the Meadowlands. Even when we have a better team than the Giants (which I believe we do this year and know we did last year) we struggle in the Meadowlands. Anyone who follows the Redskins knows this. That stadium just brings out the worst in our team.

I promise I'll pick us next week against the Titans okay?

Like I said, I do not think much of it.

Anybody that is not smart enough to know that this is a WASHINGTON REDSKINS BOARD, is not worth discussing much with anyway.

For the rest of the board: It truly NEVER, EVER ocurred to me that any of our fans would pick the opposition to win on any given Sunday, maybe just as a case of loyalty if anything else. The option to pick the opposition is only there for the fans of OTHER teams who decide to join us in my view.

If we lose on the field one week, what does the pick point mean as a fan to me? NOTHING OR WORSE. Enjoy your bitter pick. It means NOTHING in my book.

I do not know. I guess it is too difficult to explain.

Ah! Congratulations! You made it to the HALL, ... TWICE.

It's a question of fan principle, you don't, ever, ever, evvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvver pick against your team ... no matter what

Well maybe it should mean something to you bc I have correctly picked 4 Redskins games in a row and am in 3rd in the contest. Haha.

I'm kidding.

Let's just put this bitterness behind us. I actually do see where you are coming from and I understand what you're saying even if it doesn't seem like I do.

I viewed Hognostications as a COMPETITION where we all try to pick as many winners as possible every week. I honestly thought we would lose to the Giants yesterday. It doesn't mean that I didn't hate it when we lost. It doesn't mean that I didn't throw stuff around my living room and curse and scream. Believe me I did.

I am INTENSELY passionate about Redskins football, I just viewed Hognostications as a competition I wanted to win and therefore have set aside my personal feelings.

Picking the Redskins every week is like saying you think we're gonna go 16-0.

You're not George Michael are you?

Let us expand on that. Shall we? How about:

"I actually do see where you are coming from and I understand what you're saying even if it doesn't seem like I do. But I am too darn selfish and I do not mind to show lack of confidence and support for my team if I think that I can get a leg up on all the other silly loyal fans of the Washington Redskins. A point is a point and it does not matter what price I pay for it being a double TRAITOR and all."

Yeap, We finally agree now.

Haha okay okay you made your point.

I'm a competitor. I'm going to win that competition. It doesn't mean I love the Redskins any less. Personally, I think it's ridiculous to pick the same team to win every week. Did you honestly go into this season expecting us to be 19-0 Super Bowl champs?

I'm sorry but I did not.

I'll pick the team I think will win in Hognostications and root for the Redskins. Hopefully we'll both do well.

JPM36 wrote:Haha I'm going to win that competition.
You will not and I am not kidding. So how about giving you that handicap? Many of us will pick the Skins to win -every- week and still you will not win in spite of the fact that the Skins may not win every game from now on. Are you happy now to play -against- the Skins and us? Good.

Any victory on any given week would mean NOTHING OR WORSE to many of us with the way you play. Clear now? Enjoy your bitter picks.

Geez.

As a guy who made a whole thread predicting that the Redskins would go 12-4 I never thought my optimism about the Redskins would be questioned.

I'm a competitor. I'm going to win. But I'm also a realist and I realize that the Redskins can't win EVERY SINGLE GAME. No team can.

'72 Dolphins
(should have been) '91 Redskins.

Even though I thought the 'Skins would drop this game, I would never pick against them. (Had I, I would have scored the to-date unattained "perfecto." But how can a week be perfect if the 'Skins lose?)
I'll continue to pick the Redskins every week, and will still smoke you by season's end, but that's just the way I roll.

2006 CHICAGO BEARS have a chance to go undefeated, and I think they will if they can keep the intensity up. There is no team even close to competing with them right now.
