Eh, that's OK - I'm inside for most of the rest of the day anyway.

Speaking of the rules (tangent time), does anyone care to offer a primer on these injury reporting rules? What are they? What does a team have to say? Are there penalties if players are continuously listed as 'doubtful' but who then play? What's to keep a coach from constantly playing mind games with the injury report (always listing various stars as doubtful/questionable every week, even if they're fine)? I know little about this stuff, but want to know more.

Isn't that the truth! Portis is a warrior for our team. . .always giving 110%, never complaining, always a leader, always poised.

You're short-changing CP - I've never seen him give any less than 120%, and sometimes as much as 200%!

CP's the last guy in the world I'd think would be gold-bricking. He practically has to be tied to the bench when the coaches want to rest him.

That is the same EXACT article everyone else is talking about. It is written by the Associated Press.

And NO, Gibbs did NOT say he was out. Read the quotes.

I get your point, but Gibbs may find him self in hot water with the league if he says Portis is out then plays him. The NFL takes the injury report VERY seriously. Not to mention he may tick off a ton of fantasy players. My opinion is he won't play. Seems Gibbs is trying to strong arm him to participating in practice by saying if he doesn't practice he doesn't play, along the same lines as Parcells was trying to do in the preseason with T.O.

AGAIN FOR THOSE OF YOU EASILY INFLUENCED BY THE OBVIOUSLY PARTIAL MEDIA:

JOE GIBBS NEVER SAID CLINTON PORTIS WOULD BE LISTED AS OUT FOR THIS GAME!

Hope that clears things up for everyone! ;-)
Whenever I start to get blue, I just breathe!

My favortie line from the Simpsons:

Flanders: "Looks like someone is having a pre-rapture party!"

Homer: "No Flanders, it's a meeting of gay witches for abortion , you wouldn't be interested!"

I've changed my mind, honestly, I think he will play, but come in off the bench.

Officially listed as doubtful, which means he will play:

You said "I get your point, but.....". You obviously DO NOT get the point if you said that Gibbs could be in hot water with the league. The fact of the matter is that he NEVER said that Portis was out. He simply downgraded Portis because he hadn't practiced during the week. The NFL could not do a thing if Clinton were to play.
