Last night was far from a quality loss. The Vikes ran the ball write down our throats in the second half. The only thing that stopped them were penalties. What do you think would have happened had we been playing the Colts??

The Offense was offensive. Kicking field goals from the 5 instead of TD's. We're supposed to be improving, but 16 points is very close to our 2004 average of 15.2 which sucks. You expect that much production from any run of the mill offense with a second rate QB. Keep in mind that the Vikes defense was ranked 29th in the preseason...1 spot worse than ours.

If we play that way next week....it will be a blowout embarassment. And I suppose we're going to really find out something about the 2006 Redskins next Sunday night cuz the cowgirls are licking their chops right now.

The Boys lost to a very good team on the road. The Giants lost to one of the best in the NFL, and we lost at home to a rebuilding team.

OK the Skins lost and everybody has been down, well it's been 24 hours and we play that team in Texas on Sunday. We need to put this game behind us, the team has. Before anyone calls me a homer, had the Redskins won Monday night they wouldn't be thinking about that anymore either. Before I put MNF week 1 to bed I would like to point a few things out.

What part of the second half did this happen. The Vikes only had 1 run over 10 yards ALL GAME and ran for a total a net of 86 yards

22 attempts including a kneel down for 59 yards or 2.6 yards per carry

Evans was the only one to get a sack but there was pressure on Johnson (wasn't at the right time but there were a few hurries). More sacks are needed, but you can't compare Minny's O-line to what Drew stands behind. The Vikes spent $100 million on the left side of that pocket over the last nine months.

Springs not being out there is part of the reason, he's the one that is normally put out there on a island and Rogers isn't there yet. As far as the defensive ranking over the last few years and the players that have left, I don't get your poiint Lavar barely played during that time, Peirce played in the middle 1 year and Smoot's been off sailing somewhere (you here more about what he does off the field than on it)

We scored 9 points in the first game last year, in the Bears game last year Brunell went 8 of 14 for 70 yards, Monday he went 17 of 28 for 163 yards (higher completion percentage, better QB rating) In 2004 he went 13/24 for a buck and a quarter. So in the first game of the season he had his best game as a Redskin, might not have been what you wanted, but it is improvement. Portis averaged 3.9 yards per carry and was listed as doubtful.

Apparently you disagree with my post. It's America.

But, I was speaking of the final go ahead drive with 5 min on the clock where it was Taylor for 4y.....10y......9y.......4y........thats 27 yards in 4 carries with the game on the line......I call that RUNNING IT DOWN OUR THROAT !

Secondly, I never mentioned Smoot, I mentioned Clark, and so far as I see, Adam Cantseemtocatchem is a downgrade. And are you really trying to say that Holdman is better than LA? Personally, I think G. Williams had an issue with LA, and let his personal feelings hurt the team in that instance. That's what I'm saying.

Thirdly, I'll take 9-6 and a win over 19-16 loss given the choice. But I didn't say that Brunell had a bad game. As far as moving the ball between the 20's, he did alright. The Red zone is another story. And correct me if I'm missing something here, but I think Mark had just as many TD passes in that Bears game as he did against the Vikes.....that would be zero.

My concern with Brunell is that with the talent we have at WR now, and this new wide open explosive offense.....no TD's And it's not like we were playing the #$%$% Steelers out there.

We played poorly in pre-season, and I see little improvement so far.

And what is up with kickoffs? To the 15 yard line???? Jesus Kee-riest that's high shool ball.

But hey, it's only the first game....perhaps by mid-season we'll be kicking it inside the 10.
