Great to start the season on MNF BUT also really good not to be playing on a Thursday. I think that this is difficult on the players and am glad we are not a part of it.

Yeah, the Pukes had 3 games in 2 weeks last year the way it worked out. They played on Sunday, Thursday and then again the following week..(if I remember correctly) that must have sucked.

Never happened. It's hard enough to have just 4 days between the Sunday game and the THX game. Teams that play on THX have always had at least 10 days before their next one.

With the Skins record last year, especially how they played at the end of the year, I bet they have (at least) 2 more prime time games this coming year. I, for one, can't wait until the schedule comes out!

Wrong.

They had 3 games in 10 days.
The Cowboys played at Philly on Nov. 14, at home vs. Detroint on Nov. 20 and against Denver on Nov. 24 That's three game in less than 2 weeks.

But what I mean by saying it sucks, is because I love waking up Kickoff Sunday morning and watching the Skins play.

Now I have to wait another day

And who wants to see the Cowboys play the Bucs on Thanksgiving??? Not only does Cowboys/Skins have more history, but the rivalry is comming back full force and Dallass/Washington would get huge ratings on Thanksgiving.

We do have to share it but atleast we are the first game at 7. Not to many people on the east will watch the second game that starts at 10:15 but eveybody will watch the 7 pm game. And for triva, which teams played the very first espn monday night game? I also wanted to play the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, I'm sure we'll play them on some monday night game.

That's exactly what I'm thinking! I think we'll get two MNF and one Sunday Night.... that'd be awsome.

I read somewhere that the new MNF deal limits every team to one MNF appearance per season, which means the Vikes game will be the only one.

This is a great move for all parties. Having more Primetime games will help the league and the teams because it will give the whole nation the opportunity to watch other teams play. Instead of having to choose between watching your local team and watching the other games, the fans can watch their local team on Sunday and see other teams on MNF, Thursday night and Sunday Night.

The double header may be a test run for a trend we may see more of in the future.

Monday Night Football is already huge, but imagine if you could make a night of it. Have a Monday night party from 7-12:45 am. No one would ever have a 'case of the Mondays' at work again. We would all be looking forward to the games that night. This might create a case of the "hungover Tuesday" but that's never a problem.
