We just yoney-bopped the Steelers. Sorry.

Who cares what we pay these guys to come in and play football on our team. Every year some capologist from ESPN or USA Today tells us we are gonna have to cut 50 players and then somehow someway we manage to find a way not only not to cut these players but to get good players on the market as well. Why does anybody think free agents come to dc, because we pay them well. I dont believe any of us are under salary from the skins to do their cap work, so why should we care about anything but wins and losses. I love sitting back and watching everybody bicker just like last year. Brunell was gonna be a waste, and what were we doing trading for santana, our cap situation this year was going to kill us, clinton portis can't run in this offense, we'd be lucky to go 8-8 and omg the world is going to end.
Randle el, llyod and archuleta are going to help our team drastically. And we are going to need help this year cuz at least one team got a whole lot better in one move, Arizona. Im ready for the season to start!!!
And can somebody get me next years cap figures..........

The consenses is that we overpaid Randel-el, and to be honest, I agree. The 11 million over seven years is 1.57 per year against the cap, not including his salery, which at 31 million is of course backheavy. You pay Moss that kind of money, not Randel-el. I just hope that the three reciever sets allows Portis to taking less pounding than he did this year but in order for that to happen, either Brittle Brunell is going to stay healthy or we throw Campbell in there.
I'd say it's time to put in Campbell, but I forgot about that monster contrat Brunell got when we signed him two years ago, which is still looming out there waiting to haunt us. I'm not trying to play Chicken Little either, but I agree with Skinsfan for the most part, every move the 'Skins make is lined with gold and with all of these heavily garenteed contracts we have while we continue to trade away our draft picks, it might make our window for a possible championship quite small.
Personally, though I would love to see some offensive fireworks, I think in the end this is a bad move and hopefully I am proven wrong. However, I thought we needed a solid pass rusher on the D-Line and those don't come cheap either.

A friend of mine who is a big Steelers fan (even from before the Superbowl! lol) passed me in the hallway and we talked for a little bit.
He was shocked that I said I didn't think ARE was all that. It always makes me feel a little better when fans from other teams get sad about losing players, but only a little...
