If Lloyd and Randle El come, two among Thrash, Jacobs and Patten would be gone then.
I love Thrash play in many ways but he is in danger because Randle El could do punt returns too. Jacobs is definitely gone.

I'd say Patten is easily gone. He just didn't prove his worth like Thrash did. Thrash isn't just useful on returning but he's good on the other end of the ball. I'm sure you remember at least one of the times he downed their ball inside the 5.

I still think Patten is valuable in the slot, I don't think he goes anywhere.
(Of course, if we can save money by the rules of this new CBA then maybe, but I doubt it.)

Washington — Patrick Ramsey will be dealt, likely to the Jets. The 'Skins want an edge rusher. The cost for John Abraham will be too much, so look for a lower-priced alternative such as Andre Carter or Darren Howard to join Gregg Williams' defense. Washington also wants a veteran wide receiver. Koren Robinson could get a look. Safety Adam Archuleta is a possibility. The 'Skins love Ravens run stuffer Maake Kemoeatu.

The first is Randle El's stats, and the second is Brandon Lloyds in 2005. Brandon Lloyd had the inferior quarterbacks in Rattay and Alex Smith and still put up superior numbers. The 49er's oline was horrible and they had no running game(17th in the NFL), compared to Pitt. Pitt had the 5th best rushing attack in football and a solid Oline, with a super bowl winning quarterback. Randle El is also 2 years Lloyd's senior.
Lloyd is also a bigger reciever then Randle El. Lloyd is 6 ft and 184 pds, while El is 5'10 192. LLoyd will bulk up with age or a more rigirous workout regime, but El is not going to get any taller.
A first round pick for LLoyd may be a reach but he seems to have a tremondous upside, considering the numbers he put up with the lowly niners. I would love to see him as a redskin.
Although both as Redskin's would be that much sweeter.
Point taken. But, Randel El was, at best, the third offensive option behind the running game and Hines Ward. Lloyd was the ONLY offensive option in SF, so he should have put up decent numbers. I am just tired of trading away our picks on guys that have one decent season.
True, but Alex smith did not throw a TD until the last game of the season and totaled 1 for the year. In nine games he threw for 875 yds with 7 of those being starts.
Lloyd was the number one option but his numbers suffered at the cost of developing a rookie quarterback. When Rattay was starting, that is when he put up the bulk of his numbers.

Lloyd and Randle El; which ever, or both, will make a nnice compliment to Moss,

ey and Portis.
Patten is a possession/slot threat while Jacobs has never matured as a receiver and will be BYE...BYE.......

Arrington visited with the Dolphins yesterday and will visit other teams today, according to a source close to the player.
Looks like Arrington could fill the whole left from releasing Junior Seau....I would rather Arrington be in the AFC anyways...

D.C. lobbying players: The Redskins came out swinging. They made contact after midnight Friday with 49ers defensive end Andre Carter, Rams safety Adam Archuleta, Chiefs quarterback Todd Collins and Steelers receiver Antwaan Randle El and have them flying in as early as Saturday.
The Redskins are also working on a possible trade for restricted free agent Brandon Lloyd of the 49ers. San Francisco gave Lloyd the first-round tender, but the Redskins have initiated trade talks that could give the 49ers two mid-round draft picks. Lloyd agreed Friday night to make a visit Washington on Sunday. There is a good chance Lloyd will come to an agreement with Redskins for big money before the end of the weekend. The Redskins plan is to sign both Randle El and Lloyd to shore up their receiving corp.
