A lot easier to put up yards againts a 17th ranked defense than the #1 ranked defense...don't think we'll have to worry about it. Good luck with your 17th ranked defense. And your offense....well they should probably watch their backs. Did you watch our game yesterday ? Good Luck !

Can't argue with their logic folks.
We're doomed in Seattle.
Might as well pack it in now.
Suddenly, their defense has apparently gone from middle-of-the-pack to just as good as the bucs... hence... they will shut down our offense just like the bucs did.
And with their crowd cheering so loudly, we won't know what to do.
Joe Gibbs will snap and forget how to coach because it is so loud there.
Honest.
... just like the last time we went to Seattle.
Did you hear how loud it was when Nick Novak banged the ball through the uprights in overtime?

I think we're hearing the worst of the Seattle noise right here and now.

Wait wait wait. This poster never mentioned how similiar our D is to the Bucs,
BUT, Do you dispute the fact that coming into a hostile environment twice in a row for a playoff game, won't affect the Skins play?

:hmm: Are you referring to our HOME game earlier this year?

Well, for one, it won't be anything new. The experience in Tamoa will have thm better prepared for next week. Seattle isn't a dome stadium, is it? After we embarass there defense early, the place should be quiet early in the third quarter.

Seahawks defense may bend.. but they don't break! As long as our Offense puts up the TD's, we'll allow your offense to march down the field and punch a few FG all afternoon.
Seahawks win: 31 - 9

You mean the defense that didn't allow a TD on the first drive all season? The defense that was ranked as high as #4 the last half of the season...The defense that only allowed ONE hundred yard rusher all season?
We give up yards..but they turn into FG's...not TD.
We don't blame you though...most of the media thinks our defense isn't very good.
But Saturday you'll get to meet our starters...they've been mostly out the last 3 weeks.
Like I said, bring your offense to Qwest...I'm confident you'll be unhappily surprised.
Your team is going down, Skins fans.

You better not come to Seattle dressed like fat women; they don't like that kind of thing.
Anyway...
Seattle is going to win this game, and it'll be EASY. Your offense was horrible against the Bucs, and even if our defense is not as good, we have a far more productive offense than you guys. Good luck next year, as far as getting in the playoffs goes.

More stunning football insight from our friends at seahawkshuddle.
How do you argue with that?

Redskins fans,
You play in what I thought to be the toughest division in football this season, congrats on making it this far. I know you're all confident, and I won't throw numbers or statstics at you here. Instead, I'll say that we've been playing the best football in our franchise's history, and this team is ready to win this weekend.
It's going to be tough to walk into Qwest and beat us, I promise you that. Good luck, and may the best team win.

You guys always choke in the playoffs.
Why will this season be any different?

I think this will be a tough match for both teams. Good Luck Seattle, just hope it isn't enough for you.

I'd be hard pressed to proove the track record the Seattle Seahawks have in the post season to be anything short of poor. On the other hand, you mention why this season would be different, and the reasons are all around you. If you watched Seattle play this year...I know I have...there is something very different about this team. It's an intangible that cannot be prooved with statistics or numbers. We've had some damn fine talent through our franchise over the years, and even in the times when we had some of the best players in the league...we came up short.
But this season has been different. We have not lost games that normally we would have. Something is on our side. We get lucky breaks. Our receivers aren't dropping passes, our defense is making plays when it counts (Remember Dallas?) both our passing and rushing games are machines that destroy opponents without remorse. We don't make mistakes like we did in seasons past. This is a disciplined, hard working football team with an excellent coaching staff, prolific offense and tough defense.
This season has been different already, look no further than Shaun Alexander's record breaking year and the Offensive line that blocked his way right through it. So the question becomes rather than why will this season be any different: Why shouldn't it be?

That's the beauty of trends and records. They are meant to be broken or changed. Do you actually think things always lasts forever?
This year, the Seahawks brought in T. Ruskell and he brought in players that fits this club perfectly... and I think our record breaking year have shown it. What's another one that the Seahawks will break this year? 3 wins in the playoffs.
Sorry to see your record go to 1-1 in the post season this year... better luck next year.

I like to see we have the Seahawks worried about Lavar Arrington I think this fear whether warranted or not is something the team in Seattle feels also, good. Shaun Alexander will be stopped and it will be on the shoulders that guy they call Hasselbeck, he has screwed up so many playoff opportunities that I think after we dismantle him in this game, he will not be the quarterback for the Seahawks next year, this defeat we are going to give them will be hard to swallow, holmgren might quit!

I dont know about that, the part of Holmgrem. Hasselbeck is a good QB and the reason they lost the playoff game last year was due to the lack of catching of their players, which is better this season. Alexander will not easily be stopped, so this will be another close game. Of course, I like my Skins will come on top, but I tend to favor the Skins

Sorry ejay....but didn't they lose because Hasslebeck threw a TERRIBLE pass that was INT and returned for a TD? The coin toss had him saying that he wasnted to receive because they were going to score...OOPS!

You just keep thinking that...and remind your team to think the same way. I can't wait to see how "productive" your offense is against our defense. Stay tuned.

Why not mention the Seahawks defense. Since you didn't I will.
Lets do a bit of match up
If we were to pick overall defense by Points allowed per game:
Seattle 7th NFL, 3rrd in the NFC
Washington 9th NFL, 5th NFC
How about rushing yards allowed
Seattle 5th NFL, 2nd NFC
Washington 13th NFL, 7th NFC
Rushing TD's allowed in season
Seattle 5 2nd NFL, 1st NFC
Washington 15 22nd NFL, 11 NFC
Interceptions
Seattle 16
Washington 16
tie
Defensive TD's
Seattle 3
Washington 2
Sacks per season
Seattle 50 1st NFL
Washington 35 20th NFL
The only advantage I could find for Washington over Seattle is their passing defense
Passing Yards allowed per game
Seattle 222.4 25th NFL
Washington 192.6 10th NFL
(interesting stat here is the top 4 passing yards per game allowed leaders in the NFL)
1. Green Bay Packers
2. NY Jets
3. NO Saints
4. Cleveland Browns
So I wasn't too sure how much faith to put in this stat, but shouldn't leave out the only real advantage the Skins had all season long
I flew to Washington and went to the game. Very nice Stadium. Fans were solid and so much red I couldn't believe it. If any of you were at that Seahawks loss there as well, and happened to be in line after the game for the bus to our parking lot. And happened to see the idiots burning a Shaun Alexander jersey about 12 spots ahead of me. Be sure that we will not be burning anything Redskins after the game on Saturday. Thanks to those who made my trip special.
wrong year

Its funny how you guys as well as the 6 other teams we've beat consecutively come in here and spout off with the same nonsense. You've all come here and disrespected the Skins and looked past them. Thankfully we haven't done the same.
The main thing I keep hearing is that "we're a better team than last time".
Dallas said it.
Giants said they were better now then the 1st time they beat us.
Philly thought they were going to mow us down.
Bucs said they were a better team.
and now the Hawks are saying the same thing...
The problem with that train of thought is that you all fail to realize that we have also. You all seem to believe that we have remained stagnant and that has been EVERYONES undoing.
The fact that we're going this WITHOUT a #2 WR makes it all that much more special.
