The only way I see fit to pick up Staley, is if he is willing to take a pay cut, and not cost so much on the salary cap. He is definitely only going to be a short term solution, considering his 29 or 30. If we want a franchise back that will carry this teams load for years to come, I say draft Kevin Jones or try and snag Greg Jones in the 2nd round.

DUCE?...HOW ABOUT KEVAN BARLOW?

Post by Guest »

Kevan Barlow is a restricted free-agent nect year and unless the 49ERS franchise him (UNLIKELY)...All we would lose is a 3RD round pick.

I am also big on Kearse and fellow Titan Erron Kinney...

i heard through the grapevine, that SF was prepared to offer barlow 1st round tender, to make sure that he was a niner next season.

The biggest reason that I could possibly think of to bring in Duce would be to deprive the Iggles of his services, but I don't see that as being worth the possibility of passing on Greg Jones from FSU. Nothing wrong with building from the draft, and it would certainly cost less.

Again, DEHog has a great point. We need huge help on the lines. We lost almost every battle in the trenches and you just can't win that way. Look at Denver...What a great O-line and look what happens behind it(usually). Every single guy they put back there does well. Let's work on the O and D line and go from there. Not to mention, I think Ramsey would like a little better O-line too.

You'll always be remembered Sean. R.I.P.
