Chances are, LaVar will be gone next season, although I don't think that is a given by any stretch of the imagination.

Has LaVar been wronged by the team? Without a doubt, the way he was brought in and then forced to learn new systems every year is not the way good young players are brought in and made into great players.

I believe that the instability on this team has further enhanced LaVar's reputation as a freelancer that he garnered at Penn State.

That being said, it is up to the coaches to field a team they are comfortable with. They have done a good job. LaVar is a star, but must still answer to the coaches. Apparently there is friction between player and coach, and on most teams, the player might win, but on this team, the coach will win.

I know people from NBC news so don't say I don't know anything and I Know how the media reports them. Second of all, the post is not Espn, its biased for the Redskins, a pro Redskin newspaper with the exception of Sally Jenkins and thats because she or he is a a Giants fan. I know more than you and him. So just be quite, you don't know jack.

Wrong. The Post may cover the Redskins on a daily basis but it's far from pro-Redskins.

HOw is not pro Redskins? Sally Jenkins no she is not, but the Kornheiser, Wilbon even does to an extent, Boswell. Its clearly pro Redskins. Oh its not blatenly obvious so its not pro Redskins.

I've been reading the Redskins section in the Post almost daily since we signed Dana Stubblefield, only because they are fast and diligent in getting Redskins news out there, however I can vouch for the labeling of the post as not being a "pro-redskin" publication and the reason is in the subtle-ties that only one who keeps up with the team and the articles can spot quickly. I think alot of the writers for the Post only cover the Redskins because they have to, not because they love the team, like say the comments from people on this board.


Tough matchup against the hawks, they are not going to lay down, we have to bring our offensive A game and what has Brunell done to show us that's likely? I'm nervous, but I still hold out faith. Go Skins.

The hometown media (print moreso than TV/radio) shouldn't be pro OR con about the hometown team.

They're there to focus on the bad just as fervently as they trumpet the triumphs.

Lavar maintained earlier this year when he was not playing that he was 100% healthy and that his injury was not the reason that he wasn't on the field.

Then on 980 this week (in response to Doc's compliments on his performance) he said something to the effect of "I'm glad to finally be 100% healthy and able to do all of the things I'm capable of."

Which is it, Lavar?

I think it is the job of all reporters to report the facts. I also think that there are some who are paid by these same media to "analyse" the reported facts. There is a difference and this should be clear to you when you are listening or reading the "news".

We all have seen these local papers change dramatically and a lot of the facts are now distorted or slanted to give the media's point of view rather than the facts and let us decide.

The local papers and media in most areas "support" the local team but I think anyone with any sense can tell that the media in DC has its' own agenda.

The news as disseminated here at THN is to the point and with no hidden agenda.



Ever since Watergate the "news" reporters feel they have a "right" to distort the "news", be it sports or politics.
