I like the guy, he's definitely a situational player... but as far as being a pass rusher... the odds are kind of stacked in your favor when you only line up on 3rd and long and blitz.

Clemons is fast and good at finding the QB -- not doubt there. But he's a situational guy. McCune is fast and a beast, he might be a good slip-in. I also hope they resign Kasay to the active roster -- he's great. Either way, it's situational and we can plug someone else in there.

I think that the point is it's not about who it's a job/situation that someone else can fill and do it adequately!! Greg Williams has the depth with different people for their own roles that suit his scheme.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance

As for L.A saying that he was going to play for the Chargers... RiC already touched on it but if you READ what Elfin's article says, it says that not even all those things in San Diego would make Lavar want to go and play there.

:hmm: Here I thought this only justifies the point that he may retire at season's end. It doesn't say that he does NOT want to play for the Chargers or that he won't; it simply implies that that incentive alone of doing so might not be enough to keep him from retiring. Lavar is no dope, he most certainly must be keeping his options open, and, judging from comments he's made about his favorite coach he's ever played for (Marty), I wouldn't call his playing for San Diego hog wash.
