Sean Taylor is the best safety in the NFC, and maybe the best in the NFL with Ed Reed injured for much of this season, and him not going to the Pro Bowl is ridiculous. It's totally unfair that Roy "I've been beat for more TDs this year than any safety in the NFL" Williams gets to go over Taylor just b/c McNabb gift wrapped the easiest TD of his life for him on Monday Night Football.
Chris

ey should be on the ballot with the TEs, but since he's not I don't see how any other FB beat him out. I went to the Bucs website and they list Ronde Barber, Derrick Brooks, and Josh Bidwell as their Pro Bowlers. No mention of Alstott.
Marcus Washington has had a great season and its a shame that he probably isn't going.
Lots of credit being given to Atlanta. Despite a 8-6 record just like ours, they get 6 Pro Bowlers including Brooking beating out Washington, Dunn beating out Portis, and Hall beating out Springs. I know I wouldn't trade our 3 guys for their 3.
Thanks for saving me a lot of typing.
About the only thing that I'm not in 100% agreement with is Taylor - great pplayer - some great games this year - definitley could be the best safety going, but did he have a pro bowl season?
Having said that... if Roy Williams is the alternative, that's ridiculous. If you want to actually look at how's had a good
SEASON (not that the pro bowl would want to do that

)... Adrian Wilson of the Cardinals has 6 sacks, an INT and over 100 tackles... playing for Arizona. Stats don't mean everything but he was a sole bright spot the few times that I watched the Cards play this year. He ain't the best safety in the conference by any stretch but that doesn't mean that he didn't have the best season...
As already stated by many... the pro Bowl is a waste of time and if you place any stock in the selections, then you're not following football too closely.
Incidentally, I would imagine the reason that

ey can finish where he did in the voting and still not get the slot might not have anything to do with positions. Fan voting only accounts for 1/3 of the player's 'score'. players, coaches and fans all have equal stake in the decision, so 2/3 of the voting score isn't really included in those voting numbers despite the fact that they make up a giant percentage of the actual number of votes.

I'm not sure that quality of play was a requirement this year, Fios! I hear that Mike Tice was selected also - in case they had any marine excursions!

Sweet news for my boy Chris! I didn't expect it.
Congrats to Moss, too. He definitely deserves it.
No defensive players on the Pro Bowl roster is a real shame. Taylor and Washington both deserve to get in. So does

ey. Hopefully they'll find their way to Honolulu this year. Real shame.

True but regardless. It's hard to imagine the teams that play him and see him not recognize him as having a Pro Bowl season.

I'm baffled that Marcus Washington didn't make the team. Congrats to Chris and Santana but Marcus being snubbed as not only a starter, but not even the first alternate!?!? What the hell is up with that

Ah man, I AM an idiot. I was looking at the rosters for the 2005 Pro Bowl.

I bet Parcells voted for him. He's probably waking up at night screaming, "Cooley!!! Oh No!! How could you duck that tackle Terrance Newman???"

For real, Thomas definately should have at least been an alternate if Samuels was considered a starter. That guy was absolutely dominant this year.
Washington and

ey are huge snubs too, those guys deserved it more than anyone.

Sean Taylor - should be in with no question!
my goodness...roy williams got in... hey NFL
Marcus Washington - you gotta be kidd'n me, how can he not make it.
Randy Thomas - should have gott'n the nod.
Portis - I can understand him making it or not making it, he's gonna set a record, but he had some big competition
&

ey....

ey.... not possible for him not to make it... just cant believe it.

The one player on the NFC list that REALLY galls me being there instead of our player is Roy Williams. The guy is overrated and exists in this league on hype. He can hit when trying to stuff the run but can't cover a skillet let alone cover NFL WR's. The horsecollar tackle he uses all the time is a result of bad angles to the ball carrier and poor coverage of a receiver. He's left out of position and has to result on using that dangerous move.
Meanwhile Sean Taylor hits like a mack truck (anyone remember both the Dallas games?), can cover, can run support and actually tackles !! ST was robbed.
Yee

ey definitely got robbed...so did Thomas and so did Washington...but for Roy Williams to make the Pro Bowl instead of ST is utter BS !!

But from a positive standpoint, i bet these guys not making the probowl helps our cap number next year.
Many guys have bonus' in their contract that include the probowl.
Just trying to put a positive spin on it. I'm also happy one of our guys got in.

Taylor is better than Roy in every aspect of the game.
He runs faster, hits harder, and plays the pass way, way, way better. The one knock on Taylor I always hear is that he bites on play action way too much. While that may be true, Roy is so slow that he gets beat deep even without play action. He just can't keep up. Taylor is a much better player and Roy being in the Pro Bowl is a joke.
I'd take Taylor over Sharper, Brown, or Williams.
I'm bummed that

ey didn't make it, but it's hard to argue with Mack Strong as the best fullback in the NFC.

While most of my fellow skins backers are more disappointed over S Taylor and Marcus not making it, I was pretty taken back that Samuels even made the squad...
I konw its a popularity contest, but if anyone on that line deserved to go I would've thought of Jansen and Randy Thomas before anyone else.

What moron voted for Mack Strong over

ey.
I wish the ProBowl voting was like the MLB's style where fans pick the starters, but coaches and players pick the reserves.
Like I truly believe Brunell is having a better season than Vick, but there's no way a typical fan will look at that way, they just see "Vick" and vote.

Mack Strong is probably the best fullback in the NFC. He deserves to be there.

ey just gets screwed because he doesn't really have a position thats on the ballot.

The pro bowl Sucks. I mean its fun to watch, but it is SUCH a popularity contest as we all well know. I mean, im sorry but Vick does not deserve to go to the probowl every year because he made a couple of vikings run into each other in OT like 2 years ago. Pleeeezze. Is he electric? yes. An amazing athlete? yup. An Elite QB? Sorry but NO. Im glad Chris made it, but honestly i think he went in a little bit on name also. I mean, Randy deserved it more (although he cant play now), and even Jansen playing with 2 broken thumbs i think deserved a nod over samuels, esp. considering we have a left handed qb. It just sucks because you can be sure that Roy Wililams will be there for years to come because he had a nice rookie season and a few nice hits. And although i love Warrick dunn, i honestly think portis should be considered before him, if not just numbers but for blocking and toughness also. Hopefully he runs wild this Sat.

Even Fat Len says the 'Skins were jipped:
No RTs, RGs on NFC roster...Even in a subpar season for right tackles, there wasn't a single guy who could compete with the NFC's left-side trio of Walter Jones (Seattle), Chris Samuels (Washington) or Orlando Pace (St. Louis)? Right tackles such as Jordan Gross of Carolina and perhaps Mark Tauscher of Green Bay should be incensed.
Neither, apparently was there a single right guard, even though Randy Thomas of Washington had a superb season and Kynan Forney of Atlanta was very good as well, capable of denting the left-siders-only club of Mike Wahle (Carolina), Steve Hutchinson (Seattle) and, most surprising, the aging Larry Allen (Dallas)....
...Here's a look at some of the other deserving players, beyond offensive linemen, who didn't receive Pro Bowl invitations:
TE Chris
ey (Washington): Because he plays the H-back spot,

ey is lumped in with the fullbacks in the balloting, and he finished as an alternate. But H-backs, in most cases, should be considered in the tight end category and
Cooley was more consistent than, say, Atlanta's Alge Crumpler in the big picture.

Mack Strong? Mack Strong?
Mack Strong is the FB who beat Chris

ey out of the Pro Bowl.
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!
WHAT A RIP OFF!
Why can't there be an H-BACK position for the PRO BOWL?

ey would have won that position hands down!
