With plenty of room to step up, our outside rushers have no chance whatsoever. Our only sack from the riaders game (at least the only one I remember) came with Chris Clemons blitzing up the middle and cathing Collins as he stepped up into the pocket to avoid the outside rush.
There's always a silver lining. The coaches get to evaluate the younger players. Demetric Evens started at tackle this week. Boschetti and Nic Clemons both played. Maybe Aki Jones gets activated next week.
Everybody gets a chance to prove their value to the team. The team is still defining itself. I was excited about the possibility of playoffs, but we will most likely need help in that department. Regardless, the season goes on, and players need to make a case for themselves.
