weneedcharlesmann wrote:The greatest problem with every skins blog I've seen is this type of mob mentatlity, by which people attack any dissenting opinions. Just look at the last post by DCGloryYears...do you occupy some position with the Skins organization? Can you say for a fact that the skins do not need these fans? I can tell you what I know to be true---Daniel Snyder appreciates their money when he sells them a ticket; Coach Williams appreciates their lungs when they're screaming by the endzone...
Yes, in the end, there are positives in everything--for one, Clinton Portis had perhaps his best total game as a skin against the top rated defense...The offense put up nearly 400 yds on that same D...and yet we lost...we are a flawed team, and there's nothing wrong with people voicing their opinion about how to fix that flaw...instead of calling them stupid, or questioning their "fanhood," why not just present your arguments and move on?
So without getting into a pissing war with you I will simply address the point of my previous post. You do not have to be psychology major to understand the theory that negativity breeds more negativity. We have all, at least those who have endured the Glory Years as well as the past 15 years, some even before that and hopefully many beyond, the trials and tribulations of this organization. Anytime you hear coach Gibbs talk anywhere, the number one thing out of his mouth is the fans. How much he loves and adores coaching here and only here because of us, the true fans. When your horse is down you don't beat the hell out of it or criticize, you look for positives and move forward. It is one thing to express opinion it is another to call for benchings based on sheer non-knowledge of football. Do you not remember our record at this point last year?
I do not get paid for my work for the Redskins, i do what i do out of love for the team i've grown with my entire life. I pay the Redskins to show my support every game. We all get frustrated and upset, but some of the ridiculous notions that come out of peoples mouths are just ridiculous. And nobody who truly cares about something as much as the majority of true skins fans care about this team would ever take shots at a quarterback who is playing out of his mind right now, a running back who does everything asked of him, a defensive coach who has brought back stability (minus two of our all pro players) to our defense and especially to a coach who deserves nothing but sheer respect from all of us for what he has accomplished.
Dan Snyder loves to fill the seats with the true burgandy and gold, which is why he weeded out the Post's tickets as well as all the other ex ticket holders who were selling their tickets to all opposing teams. Where you at the game last Sunday? Did you see as many Eagles as usual cuz i don't remember there being as many as last year.
Stand by what you said in your own post where everybody should be able to post their opinions, well if you listen to yourself that was my opinion which you disagree with and i disagree with you. But like you said its my opinion and I love this country and this website becasue i CAN VOICE IT!

does Jason Cambell play d-fense?
Can he cover or get to the QB?

Solution? if we lose to Oakland BENCH BRUNELL and get on with the process that will ultimately lead to Cambell being "The Guy"
I am glad all fans aren't like you!

Did you watch the first quarter?
The first throw that hit the Bucs LB in the shoulder should have been picked off but the other two that WERE picked off were not Brunell's fault. The freak bounces off the WR's cant be blamed on Brunell, plain and simple. You can blame him for other things but lets get the criticism correct.
Campbell is not the answer yet. PLAY SOME DARN DEFENSE. We scored 35 points against the 2nd ranked d-fense in the NFL but we let them score 36 points with the likes of Chris Simms and the rest of those offensive all-stars on that team. Please give me a break.

Brunell is having an MVP type season, and the guy is a leader!

We have played the 5th hardest schedule in the league and we are 10th in offense and 7th in defense. The only other team that's top-10 in each is the Colts. This team is a lot better than you think!
BTW, I love your user name!

We are 17th against the run! Still bad but much better than you suggest. Also, giving up 200+ to Tiki didn't help. If you throw out the Giants game this team has played excellent ball in every game this year!

Also, to add to this, we have played six of the top twelve offenses in the country (and we are the 10th best so excluding us we have played six of the top 11). Our run D stats are bad but we have played five of the top nine rushing offenses in the league. We are also ranked eighth in this category so again, excluding us we have played five of the top eight rushing teams!
In addition, on the other side of the ball we have played three of the top six defenses in football.
Once again, this team is a lot better than you think!
