They showed a perfect angle later on showing Alstots elbow hitting the ground before he crossed the plain.

the bll wasnt visible at all so the refs will use that arguement. do i beleive that the skins stopped him, yes. but that isnt why they lost... the skins shot themselves in the foot... i said it before... if they dont turn the ball over they win by 10

I didn't hear them say that the angle wasn't conclusive. They need to used their brains as well as their eyes.

What goes around comes around, I suppose.

Wrong. From the first angle (up in the booth) it looked like he stepped out three times, but from the field view, you could see that he was running on the balls of his feet, and his heels, though over the line, never touched the ground. The elbow hitting the ground is another story. The ball was in that hand, and therefore could not have crossed the plane of the goal. Also the booth review of the pass that got them to about the 30 was blown. He clearly did not have possession of the ball when it hit the ground. Does anyone have a picture of the elbow on the ground before the goal line?

The ball was in his right hand. It was the right elbow that hit the ground. The ball was behind his elbow, so there is no physical way it could have crossed the plane of the goal.

It was down, we all know that, but what we all should know is that the refs will NEVER EVER overturn a call that would decide the game like that, especially against the HOME CROWD.....if they would've overturned that, it would've been another Browns vs the refs and BEER BOTTLES would fly over the field!

The evidence was inconclusive.

One thing that was really telling to me... did you see the look on Alstott face when they showed the end zone view?? Priceless... he knew he was down and saw the veiw and knew the refs would overturn it!!

Agree 100%.

1 first down was all we needed to win this one.

I disagree. A run-of-the-mill standard NFL Defensive stand would have done the trick, no the blitz happy debacle that was our last series. Who else said "blitz????!!!!" on the play where we gave up the touchdown? That was beyond crazy to do that. oh well.

I couldn't agree more...the officiating in this game was par for the course as far as Skin games are concerned. The 'force out' to start the game, let me know we were in for another one of those games. That call changed the entire game, giving them an easy opening drive TD. The pick while climbing over Patten's back was another call that should have been made as pass interference and cost us the ball. That's all I recall, but I'm sure there were others.

And please don't give me that Betts stepped out of bounds nonsense and that things evened out. Aint buyin' it! :puke:
