First off I wasn't posting to stir up anything.
I just ask the ? Do you really think that Mark Brunell is going to lead the Skins to the Super Bowl?
Uaintready was the only 1 who answered it.
I do agree that Brunell and the offense are playing much better.
Hopefully I will be proven wrong and the Skins will get back on the winning track and make a run for the NFC East.
Sorry if my post upset anyone.

It is the fact that you said he stinks that stirred the pot. Do you honestly think he stinks? What is your logic?

I'll answered it. In a word... No Mark is getting back in the groove and looking better every week but as a team we have a long way to go. Fortunenatly Gibbs is aware of this and is planning accordingly

Not a big fan of Brunell, however I will give him credit for moving this offence better than I have seen it move since Shane Matthews vs the 49ers in Tokyo, preseason 2002.

Justice Hog wrote:Listen. I hated Brunell last year with a passion! This year I am officially on the Mark Brunell (and Santana Moss) bandwagon. What a difference a year makes!!! He IS NOT the same QB he was last year. Fantasy football experts are actually picking him as a recommended "starting QB" here and there!! Go figure.
Those of you that continue to say Mark Brunell "sucks" (or something like that) just cannot recognize that the guy is really doing a decent, if not "good", job this year.
If you still think he "sucks", I would respectfully suggest/recommend that you crawl back into the hole you obviously have been living in for the past 4-5 weeks.
AMEN.
And last week he was nominated for FedEx player of the week. Voted #2 only 2nd to Carson Palmer.

Personally - No! BUT, I do think he could be the QB for a team that could play and win the Super Bowl. As a couple of others have noted, I think the team concept is what gets you there and if we have all the pieces in gear then we will be there. I just think that we will be in the Super Bowl after Mark has left
OR we could get very lucky this year in the playoffs.
Brunell is playing very well for us right now but we need to play better as a team to get to the Super Bowl and that may or may not be with him at QB.

Well I'd say for any "player of the week" awards, we should get it for Passing, Recieving and Rushing....
Brunell is right now in my opinion the best QB in the league.

Easy there, my friend. I didn't see him take one snap at WR yesterday, so there is no chance he wins THAT award. We should let Santana take that one.
Oh, and, yes, he is the best QB in the league right now.
I'm looking forward to buying a replica Brunell NFC Pro Bowl Jersey next offseason!!!!!!

Brunell, Moss and Portis (in fact, all the backs & receivers) are as good as the offensive line and our game plan. The combination of these 2 key elements will result in a lot of kudos to these players but they are very aware of how they get those awards. I'm sure Brunell is at the Gibbs, Samuels and Jansen alter every day!

Walton40,
First, let me be the first person to remind you that no one person leads us to the Super Bowl. If we are going to narrow it down to suggesting that one person will or will not lead us to the Super Bowl, then that distinction goes to Joe Gibbs. Will HE lead us to the Super Bowl, or more realistically speaking at this point, to the playoffs. But, to answer your, what I think is a ridiculous question, I will say this. Who gives us the best chance to get us to the Super Bowl with what we have on the roster right now? Do you think Patrick Ramsey knows this offense well enough to give us a better chance than Mark Brunell? Do you think Jason Campbell is mature enough to manage this offense? Do you think that we should go out and get another QB?
No one is saying that Mark Brunell is going to lead us to the Super Bowl, and for someone to be looking that much into the future, then they shouldn't watch football every Sunday. Right now, let's concentrate on The New York Giants this Sunday and see how it goes. As for going to the Super Bowl, if we get there this year or next, the person behind the center will be the person that gives us the best chance to get there.
You sound like a disgruntled Patrick Ramsey supporter who is still angry for him being pulled from the starting job. People, including the media, have gotten over it. you should too. One thing that is particularly preposterous about your original post is this:
Can only lose games not win games.
Using that logic, how did those passes get to Moss to beat Dallas in Dallas? Flukes? I think not. There's not a player or personnel director in the NFL right now who would say that Brunell is not playing at a NFL Starter caliber.
So, I think you should re-post your original post, and/or edit it to read "Do you guys really think Mark Brunell gives us the best chance to have success".
