just throw lavar in there so he can get some practice in a real game so he can adjust up to speed.

I thought you hated the redskins. :hmm:

skinslavar = skinslover

i hate the defense....they're playing like they're stoned all the time....I mean giving up a 60 yard run and hundreds of yards..and a grip-load of missed tackles....that's sloppiness. I hate that.

i think that there's no way holmes could have made that rediculous 60 yard run if Lavar was in there. He would have stopped holmes in his tracks.

"Did anyone else see the horrible angle that Marshall took on the Holmes run, he overran the play by 3 yards allowing Holmes to cut back, and is it just me or does anyone else see Holdman get blown off the ball and then not be able to shed the blocks to make tackles...Ever! I have not once seen this guy rip through a block and make a play, he gets man handled regularly by TEs and FBs. And God help us if a Tackle bumps out on him, just go ahead and let the RB have the corner. Now I'm not saying if LaVar is in there that the big screen play doesn't happen, but after watching Holdman and Marshall on that play there is no doubt in my mind that they are both weak links. My opinion, LaVar is better than both of them put together. LaVar can't cover right??? Anyone see Marshall on Gonzalez, not near the speed to cover nor the ability."

bottom line....there's way to much talent sitting on the sidelines....so put LA in the 49er game. he needs to get up to speed if that's the issue that's keeping him from playing

...like I said.

What do u have to lose?

something important is we should definitely get our first INTERCEPTION of the whole SEASON against SanFran-- probably at least 2 or 3 of them, in fact. This is Alex Smith's 2nd NFL start!

given the INTs we should get, we should win this game by at least 20 points. if this game goes down to the last play AGAIN, then we don't really deserve much of anything this year.

Actually, it was a 60 yard catch. They gave up less than 100 yards again!

Wrong....we dont have o beat anybody by alot....if you dont see that this is going to be a different season you ae watching a different team than I. The skins will win against the niners and the only kind of "long season" we will have is a playoff run.

Pessimists are still hanging around...i thought we got rid of them after the 3-0 start!

Pessimist???? Dude, good teams get all of their frustrations and anger out on teams like San Fran. Gosh, What am I saying? If your happy with a one point victory over one of the worst teams in the league then you go ahead and be happy. After all I'll be happy too! But I'll be just ecstatic if we can actually get some turnovers and score 30+ points. Hey, we got some turnovers on the last rookie we faced. It is possible!

Agreed ...

To the other poster -> Yes the pessimists started to see a ray of light after 3-0 but we only beat teams by 2, 1 and 3 points. Yes a win is a win but that is hardly inspiring of a playoff run. The 0-2 the past two games has that "Oh no" feeling creeping back especially due to our inability to hold onto the ball in the RedZone (either end) and our inability to score inside the opponent's 20. How can an 8th ranked offense produce so few points? Last I checked the games are decided by points and not yards gained.

Pessimist? No ... I prefer to be called a realist. When we started dominating the games and blowing people out and stop the nailbiting 4th quarter finishes then we will be a playoff team in my opinion. Until then, this team has much to prove.

It has a lot to prove to people who dont believe...i understand it takes some people more than a few wins to have faith in our team but saying that we are in for a long season if we dont blow out the niners is a stretch.

keep it real and hope for a skins win...dont get worried if we dont blow them out. Thats not gibbs style...he likes to control the TOP and win the field position game....get used to the close games....We should "blow out" the niners but if we dont a win is a win.

10-6 playoffs...all 1 point victories!

Buccaneers deal for Niners backup QB Rattay

Rattay, 28, started the first four games of this season for the 49ers before coach Mike Nolan made the move to Smith two weeks ago. There were rumors at the time that the 49ers would entertain trade offers for Rattay, a sixth-year veteran, after the switch. San Francisco did not get many inquiries about Rattay, though, until the Bucs decided to make a move on him.

This is a bad team (49ers), we need to beat a bad team the way a bad team should be beaten. AROUND THE BLOCK!!!!!!!

Hope this gets my point across.

I think that the 49ers are a scary team..they beat the Rams on opening day and they think that they can win against anybody...they should've beat the Cowboys....they scare me...I just hope Gibbs keeps the Skins motivated and focused on the 49ers and not the next game, which is huge, against the Giants.....

I don't think Gibbs will have any problem motivating his team after two consecutive losses.
