I seem to stand alone on this one, but I'm glad Smoot's not seeing the success that we are. He was a good player here, but no stud.
He didn't deserve the big money and am glad we didn't pay it to him. Smoot should have stayed a Skin and not placed his demands so high. Now he's on a loser club, that has always been a loser club mind you, and were on our way back to being a respectable program thanks to coach Gibbs and his staff.

Fred only got a few dollars more, I wonder if he thinks it was worth it?
I don't think so.

I think players who leave the Skins for more money are cursed.
Smoot - Moss leaves, Culpepper sucks, Team in dissarray, Love Boat debacle, terrible team.
Coles- Pennington hurt again, backup QB hurt, offense is terrible.
Pierce- Well his misfortune will start this Sunday.
Its the curse of the Danbino..

Culpepper, three other Vikings charged in boat party scandal
By JEFF BAENEN, Associated Press Writer
December 15, 2005
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Quarterback Daunte Culpepper and three other Minnesota Vikings were charged Thursday with three misdemeanors each for taking part in a bawdy boat party earlier this season on Lake Minnetonka.
Culpepper, Bryant McKinnie, Fred Smoot and Moe Williams were charged with indecent conduct, disorderly conduct and lewd or lascivious conduct, according to court papers.
If convicted, each player faces up to a maximum of 90 days in jail and a $10,000 fine on each count.
Prosecutor Steve Tallen's decision was based on findings by the Hennepin County sheriff's office, whose investigators reviewed allegations of lewd and drunken behavior aboard a floating party Oct. 6 that involved some Vikings players.
Crew members complained that some people took off their clothes and engaged in public sex acts during the cruise, according to Stephen Doyle, an attorney representing the boat owners, Al & Alma's Supper Club and Charter Cruises in Mound. The crew members identified 17 Vikings among about 90 people on the two boats.
The court papers released Thursday said Smoot and defensive end Lance Johnstone arranged the charter.
Smoot declined comment in the team's locker room before practice.
Funny About Smoot

The police chief read the charges for the players and this was so funny. They read the guys charges one at a time:
Culpepper: Getting lap dances, and fondling women.
Mo Williams: Getting a lap dance.
Bryant McKinnie: Receiving and giving oral sex.
Freddy Smoot: Manipulating a sex toy!!!!
How did I just know he would be the guy to do that. Sounds just like Smoot.

Yeah I don't know how that guy kept a straight face when he said that one.

Hopefully these guys will get their day in court and with adequate representation get a chance to show why they should not be found guilty of the charges. But, if they are found guilty of the charges I hope they get what they deserve from the court, from the team and from the NFL.
I have no idea of the authenticity of the reports but if they are true then this is totally unacceptable behaviour. Anybody who thinks that it is okay to behave like this is no better.

No need, I'm sure. If can appear in my family newspaper, verbatim, then the Staff will probably allow it here.
Relax, RiC.

Whats wrong with going to a strip party??? The only thing "wrong" with it is it was in semi-public.
Hello, ever heard of a bachelor party?
