Greetings from NYC. My wife did the same thing from the a bar called the Falls in NYC. Bewteen the Green Bay game last year and now this even she understands that we were cheated.

While the officiating hasn't been very good, the important thing is that it has been fairly even. While we have lost some calls, we have also benefited from some calls and no calls. The penalties against Denver in the end put us in a position to tie the game when we were clearly out of it. Reviewing penalties would slow down the game way to much to ever implement it.
The reason the officiating has gotten worse is that the players and game have gotten bigger, faster, and stronger, making it more difficult to officiate.
The NBA is still the more poorly officiated sports. When officials completely disregard a rule (traveling) all the time, then they aren't doing a good job. Plus NBA officials are more about egos then about making the right calls.

They can start by checking the ref's bank accounts after they blow a few calls. Then they can make them full time employees and if thats not enough they should fine them for making bad calls. Lets say every five bad calls they have to pay $50,000. I understand they're human I understand they will miss some here and there so we should give them a few calls each year, but once they hit five they should pay up. These bad calls after bad calls are taking the fun out of the game.
Obviously you dont watch much NBA basketball. The quality of officiating in the NBA is a complete joke.
No, I don't watch the NBA.........I just can't imagine a sport being any worse than the NFL. Seriously, how many calls do the Refs of the NBA make that swings fourteen points to the other team or two points or seven points? These refs make some serious calls right at some crucial times that decide the outcome of the game. Remember Green Bay last year? We had the score and they called that back so we went for it again and Gardner got his should pad ripped out RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE REF.......he didn't call it of course and we lost the game. Do the NBA refs really decide the outcome of the games by making serious calls after VERY big plays in the game?
It might be even with the NFL I'll concede that, but I won't call it worse than the NFL. Its impossible to be worse than the NFL.

First, I agree that NFL refs are, by far, the most incompetent professional refs in the world but NBA refs can and do affect the outcome of a game. Anyone who watches the NBA knows the name Joe Crawford, he's a ref with a HUGE ego who constantly imposes himself on games and clearly has favorites.

I knew it wasn't you when I talked to a friend of mine who's an Eagles fan. He had watched the game as he was in VA for the weekend and the first thing he said to me before I even brought up the football on Sunday was that the officiating in the game was a farce and that the 'Skins were robbed. That proves it isn't just our bias clouding our judgement but there is something behind our arguments.

Not if you limited the reviews to coaches challenges. It would take no longer than reviewing a fumble or a reception.

I'm not the ref blaming type. I always feel like that there are going to be bad calls and that good teams have to find a way to overcome them.
The only time I can remember a game being absolutely stolen from the Redskins was the MNF game last year against Dallas. That was laughable. I'll never let that go.
I don't blame the refs for the loss in Denver. We had our chances and we couldn't get it done. When you lose by 2 in a game that you had a 38 yard FG blocked and missed a 2 pt conversion how can you blame the refs?
I still maintain that the NBA is by far the worst officiated sport. One call can't swing the game 7-14 points the way it can in football, but the overall quality of the officiating is miserable.

I agree with the basis, and we should have got it done because we were the better team on the day. Totally agree!
BUT - The 2 scoring runs should only count as scores against us. The yards/stats should be taken away from both RB and the defence. These were both ONLY due to the refs missing obvious infractions. End of story! Bell only gets those yards by the refs missing the "obvious" and our D is still that good.
Hey ref!

I have to say, in all sincerity, that I've come to regard bias or poor officiating as as great a danger to the Skins chances of winning as the skills of their weekly opponents. This goes back to the start of last season. I seriously believe there's a subconscious or conscious (penalty) contract out on Gibbs, as if there's a resentment he's returned to the NFL.

I have to say a week later, the tuck rule is a crock of

(sorry wrong form).
But as far as it costing us the game, well it was good officaiting that cost the game. Had Seller not committed the penaty on the FG attempt we would have won by 1 and this thread would be half the size it is today.

Guys, blaming the refs is beyond pathetic.
Do you really want to be those fans that just cry about the refs?
I personally don't want one of the characteristics of being a Redskins fan to be the telltale whine and moan of "Those refs stunk! Boo hoo!"

Stop blaming the refs for our poor play. The refs weren't the ones fumbling the ball and missing tackles.
