That sounds like a great time to me

I'm looking forward to seeing the official "rules" for these debates. I think there will be a lot of great participation. I know you've talked about a word limit... are you thinking of imposing a time limit as well, to keep things moving? (you may have already made that clear... if so, sorry

)

The problem with rules is that they will be hard to implement
But i'm gonna set some guidelines and we're gonna probably have a dedicated board area, so you'll be able to heckle a guy if he's taking too long
I'll probably have to make it a non PG forum, and make it available to members only.
If you're wondering why boards are like that, it is because you agree to a disclaimer when you register that says you're above a certain age. That way either you're old enough to deal with the language or you're lying and I'm the least of your problems.

But I've done my part to try and ensure that the board is PG to evryone publicly, but you guys can still 'let off steam' in the smack forum.

if memory serves correctly

boss said it would be a word per post limit, not exactly a time limit.

as I said... they'll just have to be guidelines, but yeah we'll set a word count limit or a time limit or something.
It might take a dry run or two to smooth out some details, but I think it'll end up being a fun project... whatever we call it.
... just more good stuff from the noodle of the big guy who brings you all them Cheap Seats each week, my brother Wingman.

That's what I had remembered... and then I started wondering what happens if somebody takes too long and we're all on the edge of our seats

(but I don't think any of these people will be at a loss for words

)

WOW... not much between 'em. It's still not too late to vote if you haven't already.
Monday, January 19th, 9pm will be the date and time of the inaugural watchamacallit unless people start telling me that's not a good time.

I voted for Pork Bowl... but I'm gonna call it whatever wins the poll.

I have a store within 2 minutes of my house that makes alot of scrapple, actually they are famous for it, it is called the Meadows, I can ship you some direct, if you want, just give me your address and credit card number, just kidding, but no lie, I can walk and get scrapple within 4 minutes, we used to eat it while we ice fished, maybe that explains my problems.

Last day to vote (til about 5 ET I believe)
So far it's Scrapple.
I'll post a notice of the winning name and a graphic for the section, some time tonight.
Just a quick thanks to everyone who voted and came up with the names for us to decide between.

I voted for Pig Pen but what you describe brings back memories of the Oklahoma Drill.

or a round of beers

Holy geez guys, i kinda thought that at camp i might be on the receiving end of a couple of beers, not just the giving end. Though admittedly, there are definitely a few people that I owe beers to... but every winner between now and camp?
I think that the winner of the event should get the right to defend in the following battle and do so as the defending champion. And that in the graphic used to promote the 'debate' that we put up... it says Defending Champion and the username.
What about that?
There will be times where we have others that wanna debate on something when the 'Defending Champion' might not compete, but I think that it should always be their right of first refusal.
And whoever the current defending champion is come training camp... I'll buy them SScrapple AND a beer.
