What impresses me so far about brunell is that he's throwing much better and damn thats 2 weeks in a row he's saved our asses with a scramble

To be fair, the reason it was tipped was because it was a poor pass.

EDIT: But I should add, that all in all, Brunell has looked fantastic.

Ok Joe is saying we lost Sean for part of this game with a sore shoulder but he didn't say which one. He did say he hopes that is all it is.

Anyone notice that the Bolts beat NE 41-17? We might have trouble with our West Coast games this year. Broncos beat the Jags too.

I have only one thing to add:

Possession:

Seahawks 26:09
Redskins 39:22

Oh yeah.

I do like the way, given the 2nd chance, that the offense took the kickoff in OT, moved the ball down the field for the winning FG without giving them any chance of getting the ball.

Raiders are up 10-0 over the C'Pukes & KC is up 17-0 over the Iggles. Sure hope they can keep that up.

One thing that also helped was that our D evidently put Bobby Engram out of the game with some wicked hits. He was beating everybody in our secodary with 9 catches for over 100+ up until he went out of the game.

Hi guys!

I have a VERY ssslllloooowwww connection today. I could not watch the game but I learned about the result from the web just now.

Awesome ball control game (as I predicted) from the reports. Joe Gibbs at its best. Things are coming together. This team is winning the close ones now! What a wonderful experience!

Hail to the Redskins!

Our defense played a great game today, period. However I think we let up in the 4th quarter. I mean we didn't give up, we let up.

For example, the whole game we were pressing them and blizting them out of their minds, but in the 4th quarter, it seemed as if we wanted them to catch the ball.

I was watching ESPN Countdown, and Steve Young said that the Prevent defense, Prevents the defensive team from making plays. And I thought we had that Prevent approach where you let them make the 5-10 yarders but don't give up the big 20+ plays. And slowly but surely, that will bite you in the butt, (just ask Pittsburg when they let NE get those easy 10 yarders)

None the less, we won and they didn't. HTTR

The defense held when it had too giving up FGs or FG attempts

The offense did enough to get the W

Novak went from goat to hero in a matter of hours

I also do not like the prevent defense but it eats the clock away and also stops the long yardage scores.

How come we could not stop them ig 4th down on a few plays?

I am so pumped up with this win. We defeated a GOOD Seahawks team!

How long is Harris going to be out, because after watching the CHawks game I still want to puke every time Jimoh is on the field!

Great game! The Offense stepped it up even though the D let the Chawks back in the game! They redeemed themselves by bailing out Brunell's mess at the end. (I have to say though, for the most part #8 played great)

Couple of observations I made from the nosebleed section today.

1. The Redskins offense looked pretty good (for a change) today. Their 3rd-down conversion rate was just off the hook...which certainly helped us with the time of possession battle.

2. Brunell showed why he was the choice at QB over Ramsey today. This guy's passes are much more crisp this year than last year's...and the dude still can run!

3. The Redskins are lucky to win this game. That pass interference call against Seattle (allowing the Skins to score their second TD) was absolutely bogus. I could see that from my seats! That being said, the Redskins have certainly been at the short end of bad calls before so perhaps this is Karma...with them being on the positive side for a change. Regardless, that was an extremely poor call by the refs.

4. If Brunell led Moss a little on that long pass down the field, throwing the ball more to the center of the field to allow him to go after it instead of right at him, it would have been "6". Brunell still needs to work with these WRs but I liked what I saw today otherwise.

5. We need to use Cooley more in the Red Zone! He was solid between the 20s....but way under-utilized in the Red Zone.

6. Our defense, while impressive in the first half, was less than impressive for the entire 2nd half. They let the Seahawks back into the game. They need to find that "killer instinct" and punish people.

7. I saw Sean Taylor sitting on the bench late in the 4th quarter but don't know why. Hurt? I dunno.

8. Finally, I am becoming a huge Santana Moss fan. Getting him for Coles was the best move of the offseason I think.

Okay, 'nuff said for now.
