You waited till the end of the third quarter to take a shot?
You're lucky if that's all you need. Apparently, I need to get friggin wasted for the 'luck' to kick in...

"Your question is irrelevant, and your little ritual has no bearing on the outcome of Skins games.
Get a frickin' clue, already. "
Hey Redeemed, you get that I was just kidding...right? That I'm old enough to realize I don't really think doing a shot caused them to win? That I thought it might be fun to post something other than "We get no respect"? You got that...right?

or did you?

To answer your question: yes, I did.
Now, for one of "my own"...
Hey [Chris Hanburger], you get that [so, too, was I]...right? That I'm old enough to realize [that you were kidding] about doing a shot [that] caused them to win? That I thought it might be fun to post [how my "superstition" somehow trumped yours -- despite my not being superstitious--, or] something other than "We get no respect"? You [did read my post beyond that one tongue-in-cheek comment]...right?
or did you?

Or our quarterback, or our offensive line, or our wide recievers...

same here guys.
i have two theories about the dallas game:
1. my fiancee was watching with me but it looked like the game was pretty much over and she had to work early so she went to bed. literally the instant she turned the light out we scored our first TD. so from now on, whenver we desperately need to score, i am going to send her to bed! even if it's a 1PM game.
2. this also coincided with my "Fire Joe Gibbs" thread. so, maybe from now on i should post a similar thread every time it looks like we are about to lose.
and just think of it- you guys were getting all mad at me, but clearly it was this gesture of mine that caused the redskins to win!

I have to wear redskins stuff and I have to leave the room for the game.

During the 81 season I used to listen to the game from my car in front of my freinds house until the Skins got through their first offensive drive. This is because for 2 weeks in a row I was late to get to his house and they drove for a score both times.
I am completely non-superstitious in every other aspect of my life except for the Skins.....
I have my shotglass ready if needed today.

As long as JC is mobile and able to think on his feet, bring him on. I'm not above cheering for anybody who can move the chains.

The shotglass was deployed and used at the end of regulation. I actually forgot about it, but remembered 3 plays into OT right before that near interception.
GO SKINS!!!! 3-0 YEEEHAW!!!

Why would y'all want Jose Cortez on the team?? He blew it in Dallas, and right now Novak is a hero. I don't get you guys sometimes.

I have to laugh when I think about what my wife must have seen. This is what she saw....I'm outside listening to the game over the internet while I paint the porch. OT had just started when I remember the Miracle Shot and I yell "Aw S****!!!! , I come running into the kitchen, bang around the cupboard for the shot glass, scramble to the cabinet above the frig, fumble open the bottle of Vodka, pour a shot (She' standing there with arms folded and a bemused look on her face), I look at her, down the vodka, and yell "I'll explain later!!" and run back out to the game.
I hadn't told her about the Miracle Shot. When I explained later after whooping it up outside, she actually said these words "You are one of the strangest men I've ever known"

Maybe it was none of us, and the players had something to do with it.
Someone at the Washington Post wrote:Best Luck: Maybe somebody was listening to the Redskins players who prayed instead of watching Seattle place kicker Josh Brown try a game-winning 47-yard field goal. Brown's kick, which looked good, faded and hit the left upright, forcing overtime.
