Sorry mods for the long post. But, it's funny how when you lose people want your head and when you have won all of your games this season they still want your head. I don't understand why people still can't comprehend the concept of team chemistry and how long it takes to develop. Or maybe it's just a complete lack of patience. This is the start of the second year for Gibbs as the coach of this team. He wasn't here coaching when Turner, Spurier or any of the other coaches were here. So why is he accountable for their failures of the past. I would like anyone to name off the NFL coaches that have turned around a franchise the same year they started coaching the team. I am not saying give them one year, I am talking about take over the team in the summer, go through training camp and preseason and then do what you people expect Gibbs to have done last season. I guarantee there are not many of those coaches and you can count them on one hand. The way I see it we outlasted Dallas under adverse conditions (hostile environment, haven't won in Dallas in 10 years, 100 degree temperature, Brunell was looking at the sky more times than he was upright, cranky redskin fans calling for Gibbs termination), Dallas gave up after 56 minutes and the Redskins didn't. In my book that deserves congratulations, not termination. A lot of the people that are complaining probably gave up on the redskins before the game was over (some of these people gave up on the skins several seasons ago) that tells you something about their (cranky fans) character. Some people just can't tell a good thing even if it is pimp slapping them in the face. Anyway, bad news for all of you people that hate Gibbs, he won't be fired anytime soon. He was brought in to turn around the franchise because he was sick and tired of watching the skins lose over the past decade just like the rest of us. The only difference is he is trying to make a difference while you see nothing but negative in everything he does. Sounds more like, excuse me that is exactly what the Buffalo Bills fan in my office says about the Redskins. This is the first time in a long time we have something really good developing with the Redskins. Maybe you people calling for Gibbs termination should seriously consider cheering for some other team like the Patriots or Eagles (1 win, 1 loss) instead of the skins (2 wins, 0 losses). Wait you probably do.

jdacoolest,
I think most people expected the team to at least look competent on offense last season.

For those who think that some of us are forgetting that this man is a HOF'er and bought us three rings: he set the bar by giving us that glory. So now, many are us are not expecting less. We want those rings again, now, here in this day and time.
We live in a "what have you done for me lately" society so when you bring back "The Man", we want the "The Man" to give us glory again, now..... We suffered for over a decade with underachievement, unfilled expectations, and disappointment. We get back the man that bought us glory and we expect him to give it to us......

Nah, but I'll give him a hug and shake his hand. I'll tell him he's welcome in my home any time - day or night. I truly love the guy, but I don't like the process sometimes...
OK, this is my last post for the 'see-I-told-you-so-Brunell-is-Gods-gift-to-QB/the Redskins and all those too dumb to bow their heads in praise and shame...er's.

The offense continues to be horrible...that's Gibbs' fault. Acquiring Moss was a positive move that has covered its obvious deficiency for the time being, but not for long. Gibbs is astoundingly lucky not to have half Washington howling for his head. That will come later. His decision to go with Brunell is as bad as Spurrier's decision to go with Danny Wawful.

i think the most overlooked aspect in this "It's a Sin to Question Joe Gibbs" parade is the fact that the very first thing Gibbs made clear when he came back to coach was the fact that he wanted to prove himself all over again, that his previous success now officially meant nothing.
so, if you are going to abide by what gibbs has asked, you will treat him like any other coach. question him and criticize him when you disagree, praise him when you do. he wouldn't have it any other way.

I for one dont mind ANYONE questioning Joe. I have had times when I wonder if things are going to work or not. I disagree with a lot of things. I dont know who's doing the challenging but I disagree with that person. I disagree with the too conservative play calling.
However, I do have a problem will mutiny. This isn't towards you DCD.
Fans can be so fickle. They complain about continuity and what not but as soon as something doesn't work they're ready to start from scrap. Danny boy has gotten some of you used to this constant turnover and that is not the way. Im tired of new coaches, new players and new schemes every year. Im soo happy we have some continuity and it shocks me that some people are so willing to throw it all away.
