Its got to be the play calling. Gibbs is way to conservative, we did not mix up the plays enough for me. Thank goodness for our great defense . I am not a Brunell fan but he threw the 2 best passes in his career and it was sweet. I will take a win over Dallas any day.
I am pretty sure that the euphoria over the victory DOES NOT hide the fact that there are STILL some serious issues with our offense. Play calling may have something to do with it. But play calling is also a function of how confident a coach feels about the execution of some plays. I think that we threw bombs when there was not much else left to do. There is A LOT of work to do DURING the next couple of weeks for sure.

Im still pumped up over this win, I have been out today buying the local newspapers, I checked all over my area and no one around here carries the Washington Post which is what I really wanted to get.. In the Times Leader which is the local paper here in my area there is a cool pic of Rock Cartwright and Mike Sellers celebrating though.

Hey guys, you should see what the issue is easily. Brunell threw the ball extremely well down field to the tune of about 80%, which should dispell the myth that he can't go deep like Ramsey.
The real issue is that the QB doesn't call the plays, and for three quarters last night we didn't take nearly enough plays in the center of the field (slants, quick posts) which was wide open when Dallas brought up their LB's to stop the run. Instead, we threw a lot of short stuff to the outside (one was picked) and basically played "not to lose" instead of playing to win.
Gibbs I think is suffering from a hangover from last year when the entire offense played poorly, but now he should have more confidence in calling a more aggressive game.
If we start being more aggressive on offense like we are on defense, we're gonna score enough points to challenge anyone.....including Philly.
I was at the game last night and it was great to give them a taste of their own medicine.

To be sure, there is still work to do.
However, perrenial underachievers do not become contenders overnight. Improvement comes one step at a time.
Building a defense that has confidence to stop the other team when the game is on the line is a good first step.
Having confidence that you can rally from behind and fight out a last minute win against your arch rival is a HUGE second step.
There are still a lot of things to work on, but we are off to a good start!
for three and a half all of us were whining and complaining about our offense and some how the cowboy secondary got beat TWICEwe won the game but man we are far from were we need to be,O-LINE was not great but was not as good as it should have been but in time the O-LINE will come together.
W.R.'S not much to brag about until MOSS burned the boys twice ....crossing routes where the heck are they ???running game will come around also along with the o-line.DEFENSE is the only thing that is keeping us from being 0-2 SORRY someone had to say it !!

It's a team game, it doesn't matter how you win as long as you win. The TEAM pulled it out. We may not be perfect but that doesn't matter at all because we're 2-0. Yes, we must improve but we have taken care of business and that's what matters.

a win is a win when you beat anybody else but when it comes to the cowboys it,s always awesome and to add to that it was in dallas during their ring of honor ceremony.thats made it even sweeter.
