I sat and watched...and the entire night (just like most nights) I was saying to myself "we are gonna win this thing.
Then we scored the TD, and got the ball back. For some reason, I thought it was in the cards. ( If you think I am Bull sh****ing then just check my posts)
It is not that Brunnell sucked for 3 quarters, it is that he kept his nerve and didn't kill us by throwing a bunch of interceptions. Sure he threw one, and Betts fumbled, but this was a game to build on.
We are losing the turnover battle this year, and are still 2-0. That is all that matters.

After the first Moss-Bomb, I sighed since we finally got a touchdown. Then after our defense got us the ball again, I tried not to get too excited since I didnt want my heart ripped out again. When Moss caught that second Bomb, my mind stopped for a few minutes, not believing what I saw. Once the clocl hit :00, I jumped and screamed waking up my neighbors. I cant sleep now.

I had some friends come over they all left after the third quarter the wife went to sleep and I about had a heart attack as my heart was racing in preparation for the greatest win I've seen in some time. That was incredible, thats about all I can say. Worth staying up till 12:30 for when I wake up at 5:00 am!

I think I was singing Hail to the Redskins in my sleep. Dallas' half time ceremony will forever be tainted by their crushing defeat to our beloved Redskins. Now they know how we have been feeling for the last several years. I will enjoy this win and extra day or two because of the bye week. Then it's time to focus on the next game. We have a great chance to go 3-0 with a home game against a team that struggles on the road.
Man, I would have given anything to be on the plane with the team on the way back to DC.

Last night was amazing!!!!
First, I got to meet Punu, at the MNF gathering at The State Theater. It was finally cool to put a name to a face.
Anywho, the game started nicely for the team, and with each first down pass, I'd make sure to stand and signal for it, in order to display the "ocho" on my jersey (still only $29.99 at Redskins stores.)
, especially to a friend of mine who was with me, who really hates Brunell.
Well, things got ugly. The bright spot early on was when Cortez shanked a field goal. Normally, I'm rootin' for Cortez (the only Salvadoran player in the league!!!!), but last night, he was a Cowpie, and I had to root against him.
As the night wore on, I began to get crap from my anti-Brunell friends/Redskins fans, but they left at half time, as did several others.
By the third quarter, with the Cowboys holding an "insurmountable" 13-point lead, my troops (the people who came with me) dwindled from 8 to only 3.
Punu, sorry for puttin' you out there like this, bro, but...
Even my man, Punu, was starting to have hateful thoughts about me and my #8 jersey. When the Skins faced 4th and 15, Punu was about to walk away and join his "posse" in a different section, when the greatest throw I have ever witnessed was completed in the endzone.
Minutes earlier, I had told Punu that we'd be the spoilers hat night, and to keep the faith. And, after the Touchdown and extra point, Punu and I led a chorus of "Hail to the Redskins", followed by an virgorous chant of "It's not o-ver (clap, clap, clap, clap, clap!!)". We were pumping up the crowd.
What followed was amazing. When our defense was on the field, Punu and I led chants of "Defense!" and "Let's go Redskins, let's go"
One touchdown later, and the place was on fire!!!!
Redskins fans were representing, dancin'and cheering in the seats, and Cowpies fans suddenly looked like the had eaten a bad taco or something.
The final defensive stop put the icing on a wonderful night. Punu and I shared hugs all around with complete atrangers, and I was even told "Thanks for coming here tonight", by a certain buzzed Skins fan with a hangin' Cowgirl doll.
As we exited, there was only one thing I could do...
Look up at the sky, take a deep breath, and yell at the top of my lungs....
HOW 'BOUT THEM COWGIRLS!!!!!
..and my work was done.

Man, I was so amped up for the game. Then I gradually got pissed heading into the 4th quarter. Miracles never happen to us so I wasn't expecting much. But we pulled it out and I was flippin out until about 1:30. I had to be at work at 7:30 so I had to celebrate.
I put up my Skins car flag, wore my "The Rivalry Returns : We Want Dallas" shirt, and taped my "Dallas Sucks" sign on my window so everyone who drove in could see it.

Then, our morning cook and prep person never heard the end of it this morning.

Damn Cowboys fans.

Started off well enough. My wife made a great meal, Dad came over. Then I cussed, spit, kicked, threw my had around, scared the dogs. My Mom came by later and asked how's it going. "The defense is playing well, but Brunell looks like Richard Simmons' left-handed brother." After the second TD toss - my Ma said, Hey not a bad throw from Richard Simmons left-handed brother! - laughing, high-fiving and hugs ensued. Amazing what a 70-TD can do for a persons spirits

Well last night I, like the redskins, played away. I watched the game at a dallas fan's house. So me and my friends are watching the game, split down the middle in the room. My friend the dallas fan talking smack the whole night, which i talked back up until they got up on us, then i kinda got quiet. So after the skins scored the first TD I was excited, but like jake, didn't think it would really happen cause after all, its the skin. But i moved over to the dallas side to haze them in their face in case something happened. Another friend of mine is a huge jets fan so i was talking smack about how I wish we still had coles cause he woulda dropped that td. Then the pass went up in the air and I just knew it was good, santana pulled it in and got the TD and i just turned around to the jets fan and dallas fan and told them to shut the you know what up and sat right back down. I still haven't stopped smilin and its 12:30 on a tuesday. GO SKINS

Had to drive to Boston at 9pm to pick up the wife at 10:30. Never could get anything on the radio but Red Sox, or the NYY or the giants/NO fiasco. Just an update - Dallass by 3.
On the way back the wife remarks how sorry she is and "can we get home in time?" I start to get some radio coverage with about 12 mins to go! Not a pretty picture and Boomer Esiason is very rude about everyone on our team, the coaches and the FO. He states "if there were 8 quarters, this team could not score a TD. One of the worst teams in the NFL offensively!"
I finally get home and we are behind 13-0! I cannot believe what happened.
Hey, Boomer! How's that pie Chris made taste?

With 5 minutes left my child hood friend and long time Cowboys fan who now lives in Odessa, Texas called me. I saw the caller ID and said I would not give him the pleasure of rubbing it in and left the call go to voicemail. He left a message that was surprsingly respectful. Say "We got you again, Luv ya bro".... I was pleasantly surprised but was still not gonna call him back.
After the second touchdown I launched myself off the couch and lost my voice. The neighbors have no clue whats going on since I live in Southern California, for all the knew, they thought the Angels hit a home run.
I look at my cell phone and was tempted to call Odessa, Texas but did not want to tempt the fates. So I nervously watched the last 2:43 of the game biting on a pillow like Jerry Tarkanian.
I too wonder where was the holding call on the return as I saw a handful of jersey on return and thought this would be the most cruelest loss ever, even more cruel than the Staubach comeback in Dallas against the Theismann led redskins.
I also saw the taylor hit and thought to myself that sure looked like a catch and a "football action" with the ball, two steps and POW! But no fumble.
Then came the route for two yards on 4th down when they needed 4 and Walt Harris ( who played one heck of a game) with the solid tackle. Zero's on the clock.
I called Odessa, Texas....He didn't answer the phone. Touche. Cya back in Washington, my friend.

I always...I mean ALWAYS....watch the whole game. But last night I was so pissed by the end of the third quarter that I went to sleep.
When I woke up and heard the news I felt like a jerk. Happy that we won, but felt like a huge jerk for missing such a huge upset.

Spent the game in the chat room with Jake, 74, Niki, JSPB22, DEskins, etc. and Gambit of all people.
Frustrating game. After 55 min, a shutout was a distinct possibility, but we were still only down 2 scores.
When the defense came up with a big stop with like 5 min left when they were inside the 20, that was huge. Some teams falter at that point, and that could have been a breaking point. Cortez made a FG putting them up 13-0 rather than 17-0.
Then 14 points in 4 min to win the game. I couldn't sleep for like another hour.
These are the types of wins that start winning streaks. They pull teams together and get them believing they can win.
This Tuesday has been sweet.

I had planned to watch the game at home with a couple friends. I get home, take a shower and poof, the electric on our entire block goes out. So we ended up going to a local bar. Not a roudy sports bar, just because I didn't want to deal with the super bandwagon Cowboys fans that reside in this area.
We get there about a half hour before the game starts and watch what we can of the Saints vs. Giants game. For 2 hours and 55 minutes I heard nothing but garbage from the two friends of mine. One is a Cowboys fan and the other a "Parcells" fan. Both of them hate on Maryland and D.C. sports like no one I've ever seen. One is a Hokie guy and the other is a Cavs guy. I heard everything from "I just can't figure out what is wrong with this offense, is it the QB, is it the play calling, is it just that Dallas is always a better team?" to "how many TD's have the Skins scored all season?" up until Brunells first. Not only did I hear this, but the two of them made sure the entire bar heard it too. I wish I had brought my camera because the look on both of their faces after the 2nd TD was just priceless. Needless to say I jumped up and down and high fived the entire bar. One guy was so irritated with my two friends' tirade that he ran up to both of them, grabbed their heads and started shaking them around. This resulted in a few harsh words and probably would have further escalated had there been more alcohol involved. I then listened to the two of them cry about it until the end of the game.
One of the best games on Monday night I've ever seen. But I am a little biased...
