looks as if the majority is in agreement according to the votes. metallica went to hell after ajfa, imo. i still purchased the black album, but it still looks new. my master of puppets cd is in rough shape. suprised its still plays. looks like someone taped it to the bottom of their shoe and walked through a gravel parking lot.

...and justice for all. The last album where they were just pissed off and played.
May #21 never be worn again by another Redskin but may every Redskin play like they are wearing #21 on their backs.

I have seen Some Kind Of Monster.. I don't think that Metallica went to crap after AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.. You have to understand nobody is going to stay the same.. They wanted to try different things.. I like all of their stuff.. Obvisouly Load and Reload aren't as good as their old stuff, but its good and different.. and ST ANGER I like it but again nothing like their old stuff.. I don't know what people in here think of ##### but I sat down a couple of weeks ago and listened to it, have not listened in a longtime. and man honestly I was really amazed, that album was really good

Many of us who grew up loving Metallica remember the old days. These guys were true metalheads...dedicated to the fans. And most of the metalheads I knew weren't rich by any means. It was tough trying to collect albums of everyone and pay rent, eat, etc. So when Garage Days came out...and they printed the price on the cover...it was a big FU to the music industry. Turn the page...

In the dawn of Napster, Metallica, who had never been about big money in the past, decided it was going to lose it's butt if the masses continued to download free tunes. So it swung full cirle and sided with the very same industry that it fought against when we all loved them. Thus, the torch of hipocracy was passed along...

They were a much better band when they worshipped Satan, then as you both point out, they started worshipping the God Of Green and now they suck.

I didn't realize Justice was so popular, it is one of my least-favortie Metallica albums. The only album I really did not like at all awas St. Anger, other than that i like them all, some more than others obviously.

Glad I got bored and made the poll, kind of interesting.
Gotta respect the 'Skins
