Agreed! And making himself look bad for doing so. Anyone (like me) who appreciated his efforts on our behalf last year should be very disapointed that he is lowering himself to cheap shots. I thought he was a better person, I know he's a good player for our system.

Too bad! See ya!

Keep an eye on your former team mates, AP, maybe they wont miss you either. I think our D will be better this year, I'm certainly not sure that your team will be better by adding you.

It'll definately be interesting to see how his performance is this year.

There can only be two outcomes.

1. He's a product of the system.
2. He's the real deal and was simply overlooked for years.

I want to ask something and I want you all to be truthfull? Do you guys honestly feel comfortable and confident when Ramsey has just hiked the ball and drops back? I know a lot of you arent cause when im at the games all the people around me are just like "no pic" no pic" "just be smart". Are you guys really going to feel good when we play the blitzing eagles? I truly do feel that Brunell nor Ramsey will light up the scoreboard each week because thats not how our offense is set up, but as far as keeing us in the game and giving us that extra drive without MISTAKES Brunell may be the man right now.

I would feel very uncomfortable if Ramsey was both hiking the ball and dropping back to pass.

A few observations here:
1. Pierce now plays for a division rival and is trying to stir up problems for a team he will face twice a year.
2. Hasselbeck is now a teammate of his again.
3. Pierce played defense, not offense, so his opinion makes no difference. Who did the offense want at QB?
4. Brunell started for more than half the season, so this is more a slam at him than Ramsey.

I feel pretty comfortable when Ramsey drops to pass. Last season Ramsey could actually throw for over 100 yards a game. Last season Ramsey was able to get us four free toppings from Papa Johns pizza after only THREE GAMES! Brunnell could not do that after nine games.

About Ramsey's interceptions.....not all of them, but the stupid ones. The ones that make you throw something across the living room......you have to realize that he is still suffering from Spurrierosis. There is NO known cure for Spurrierosis. Its not just Ramsey either. Take a look at all of the Gator quarterbacks. They come to the NFL and they suck. Coaches, Gibbs, Buges and Musgrave are working around the clock trying to find a cure for Spurrierosis. If they can find that cure I will feel VERY comfortable when Ramsey drops to pass.

I didn't feel comfortable at all when Hasselback dropped to pass. That guy just flat out sucked. You can't blame any of his sucking on Spurrierosis either. He just sucked and sucked and sucked. He throws a pick or two then he just gives up. At least Ramsey would battle for us. Pierce is stupid for saying the things that he said about Ramsey. Like I said before I hope Ramsey runs up the score on the Giants this year.

:hmm: Did we watch the same games? If anything, Hasselbeck gave Ramsey a run for his money as the backup to Brunell during Training camp last year. Hasselbeck looked a heck of a lot more comfortable back there than Ramsey ever has in his tenure with the Skins, and Hasselbeck's "nothin'to lose" attitude gave him the confidednce than we can only pray Ramsey attains before he gets benched.

Please don't let your bias toward Ramsey blind you from the facts. Despite the atrocious 0.0 rating against the 'Pies, Hasselbeck was a solid contributor to this team, and far from "sucked".

Just because I think Ramsey is better then Hasselback doesn't mean I'm baised. I look at the facts.

Fact 1. Ramsey could actually beat Dallas at home.

Fact 2. Ramsey never gave up. Remember when his foot got screwed up. He had a boot on his foot during the week. He took it off on Game Day so he could play. HE NEVER QUIT ON US.

Fact 3. We have been close to beating Philly at least twice since Ramsey was our starter. Philly is arguably the best team in the NFC.

Fact 4. Ramsey is used to taking a beating. When you get hit 20+ times a game for two years.......It has this strange effect on you (Its called Spurrierosis). Why else do you think he is so dang nervous in the pocket??? Have you seen him nervous when he rolls right? Hasselback hasn't gone through a beating like that yet.

Fact 5. Ramsey has never thrown FIVE INTERCEPTIONS IN ONE GAME.

FIVE

FIVE

FIVE

FIVE

I'll think up some more facts later..............

im just saying that if you guys think gibbs will sit around while Ramsey is throwing pics and keep giving him time to "develop" ur crazy.

We are not saying that at all. We are saying that Gibbs is going to have the best QB in the game that gives his team the best chance to win the game. That and the fact that Gibbs does not normally allow rookies to play in games the first year is pretty clear.

Gibbs seems to be very supportive of his starters and unlike Greg who plays a lot of people in his defensive schemes he will tend to always go with the experienced player.

We have 3 QBs this year and 2 of them can be considered to be a part of the game plan. If Jason is playing it is because Gibbs "feelings" about Ramsey have proven out and we are into "plan B". Not good! That being said I think that Gibbs is going to stick with Ramsey unless the next 2 games are so bad that we have to look for another QB to back up Brunell!!!!

That is not going to happen! We are presently not doing too bad with the offense and really have not shown what we are capable of. I think the new scheme with the new players will show the old offensive guru is back and we are playoff bound!

Pierce is just saying the right thing.

TH is his teammate and you have to back up your guy.

I like TH, but let's be real, the guy is a borderline 2nd string QB. He is NOT starting material, I don't care what AP says.

And Pierce can still back up his guy without saying Ramsey sucks! Thats whats pissed me off about him. I'm so glad he's gone. I'm glad this attitude left our team.

Notice, he's talking about 2003 here. The year we opened the season beating the Jets, then the Falcons, then losing to the Giants in OT and then beating the Pats and being the last team to beat them in some 20+ odd games all after Ramsey had broken his foot in preseason!

Then in week 4 it got further aggravated and he kept playing whilw he was limping around out there. It seems logical that the D might see a QB out there who could barely move because of a broken foot he didn't tell anyone aboutand think let's put in the back-up. I don't see this as an indictment of Ramsey at all, rather it was most likely a response to his injury. It just makes sense.
