He knows nothing about Gibbs, the Redskins or football in general, so don't waste your time...

Smithian is right--that guy should be, if not gibbs, either jow bugel or gregg williams. look at how they both lit a fire under each of their respective units' butts, i'm sure if they took a little bit of that and spread the wealth, we would have a much more disciplined team...that's not to say that gibbs doesn't have them disciplined, at least he yells at practice unlike someone named spurri-ah...we'll see, i think there will be a need for a lot more of those ice tubs after this week at practice.
Also, don't rule out the possibility of a qb change earlier than expected if ramsey sucks it up again. ramsey is one of my favorite players and i had to defend him last year and hate on brunell, but im tellin ya, brunell looks rejuvinated and (please don't crucify me all you hardcore ramsey fans) i believe our best chance to win lies with brunell. judging by what i've seen this preseason, although he is playing against 2nd stringers, he has been brilliant. if those three balls hadn't been dropped, he would have been 13-16 for 150+ yards. that's potentially 10 yds/att, more than should be expected from ANYONE, let alone a 34-35 year old, suipposedly washed up, qb. that, and he has been the most efficient qb on the redskins (barring jason campbell, he only got one series). almost every drive he has eats up clock and scores points, a gibbs trademark. he is understanding how to play in this offense, and for that i applaud him. i am a ramsey fan, yes, but more than that i am a redskins fan, and i want to see us succeed. if it entails ramsey not playing, then so be it. if he plays, i will support him like i always have, because i support the team. anyone is open to disagree, but the common denominator with most of us here is we want to see the team succeed, even if it means going with someone else at QB.

Sean, may you always rest in peace and look down on us with the same love that we look up to you.
Hail to the Redskins!
Hail to the Redskins!
028, the Razorbacks defensive coordinator lights a fire alrioght... After the first full contact practice day, that evening they did about 140 up downs. One hundred-fory.
To say the least, they're more disciplined now.

I'm just curious just how mad he was. Last week he looked very serious and unhappy, but I've never seen him be mad.
I found this, no clip is there yet and I think you have to become a Warpath Insider to access it when it is available:
Gibbs was visibly agitated about the turnovers during his post-game press conference. There was an edge to his voice that has rarely been heard in public. The audio clip will be up in a little while.

Also, I'm not sure if that will be the interview with Sonny I was referring to or the postgame press conference.
If you just go to the Redskins official website (www.redskins.com) and click on the "Joe Gibbs: Aug 19" link in the "Redskins.com TV" window you can see the postgame press conference. Here, you can still see that he's a little peeved but I think he had already blown off a lot of steam in the locker room!
BTW, I recommend watching the August 20th news conference. It is really interesting as he breaks down exactly what happened in the game.
Looks like we did a lot of good stuff - seven plays of 20yds or more, twelve plays of 15yds or more, and 5.1 yds per rush. Now that is pretty darn impressive!
However, as he also states, you only have a 15% chance of winning with a -2 turnover differential so that was pretty aweful and that id why Gibbs was so steamed in his radio interview. Good stuff, I recommend that you check it out.
From what I have been able to gather this w/e, it appears that Joe was expecting something better than he got from the team and some of the players at this stage. I think he is really frustrated with the progress and was just venting his frustration.
We have 2 good defensive units to play against in the next 2 games and this should be a better test for the offense as they get ready to play in the season.
We should remember that we are not seeing a lot from Joe and we also have not had our best players playing together much. I'm sure that what they are practicing is not on view yet. This is also true from the teams we are playing against. That being said I think that Joe is just very disapointed in some of the decision making he saw on Friday night and the level of play from some of the players was just very frustrating.
that's my 2 cents

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

For all of the die hard Ramsey fans...what is it about the kid. Is it his consistent 75 QB rating? Is it his uncanny knack for taking shots in the pocket? Is it that he throws the prettiest interception that any of us have ever seen? Is it that Mark Brunnell was so darn terrible last year that Ramsey looks like the second coming of John Elway? Or is it just that you get a warm and fuzzy feeling just thinking about him?
Lighten UP!!
I really like Pat Ramsey as a leader, I like his intensity, arm strength and his will to win. But I adopt the same approach that Gibbs apparently has with the Ram. He has to improve in order to prove that he should be the starter and in the business called the NFL...it can mean Not For Long when your backup was brought in with a 43 million dollar deal, and your Hall of Fame Head Coach spent next year's first rounder on a guy that he declared was for the future.
Don't get me wrong, Ramsey deserves to be the starter for us...period...and because I am a DIE HARD SKINS FAN...I want him to be an all pro and lead us to the playoffs and beyond.
However, I LOVE THE SKINS...not Ramsey. Gibbs saw something in Ramsey that he didn't like or he would not have spent so much on potential replacements.
I have watched every game of the Skns for probably 18 years...but if Joe Gibbs said that he personally watched every down that Santana Moss has played over his career, I am sure that he has seen a lot of Ramsey on film, in practices and in games.
He has watched all of that and he still was not convinced that he is the man for the long-term. I am sorry but I can put my personal feelings about Ramsey aside because maybe...just maybe Gibbs knows a bit more about his offense than we do.
