I'm going to get a personalized #21 jersey with "Box O' Rocks" on the back.

Does any of this remind you guys and gals of the running back on "Playmakers"?

BREAKING NEWS: Sportstalk980 just refuted the earlier report that there will be a warrant issued for his arrest. They spoke to the Dade County Sherriff, and there are no charges against him.

Here's what happened. A car was shot at in Dade County. No one was hurt. Taylor is only a person of interest, but there is no warrant issued for his arrest.

For all we know, Taylor could have been a passenger in that car, and he is being sought for questioning.

He better get to camp ASAP or his career is down the tubes. On a side note, I don't think he'll be asking for more money anytime soon.

NONE of this would be happening if he was working on his back pedal in Ashburn.

Mosley should grease up his Addidas and.....

Sean's career is far from over. Let's hold off on writing him off until Coach says so. My 2 cents

As for asking for more money, his agent will continue to do so. As for his being worth it (with all the baggage he carries), I find it hard to believe that the Skins agree at this point.

RS, I'm a little bitter right now... bear with me.

Ray Ray had some growing up to do after his ordeal but there was never any incidents before that. Sean is just a walking dumba$$. Mods, pardon my French.

After you signed a multimillion dollar contract would you even roll with guys who are involved in shootings? It may not be his fault and I'm still waiting for more details but the fact that he was even involved in something like this makes me shake my head.

NOT SMART.

You KNOW that Gibbs is going to be like "so THIS is what you were doing in the offseason?"

Rollin' with stabbers is kosher, but shooters are bad news. I gotcha.

Nah, but obstruction of justice lands you on the Madden cover. Perhaps Taylor is working on a new endorsement deal and he needs more cred (apparently, getting a DUI ain't enough).

EasyMoney - no worries, mate.

GF, you missed my point and I probably wasn't clear enough.

I can't picture Sean Taylor ever being on the cover of Madden. Let alone interviews of any kind. HOW is he going to back out of this one?

3 strikes in one year. He's got a LOT of growing up to do and he needs to do it now.

For some reason there isn't any news reports about the 78 other Redskins.

Maybe cause they ARE in the right place at the right time.

I'm tired of seeing this:

Would rather see this:

Sure, he'd have the benefit of doubt... IF there was not OTA's going on. I wonder if it will be his Dad or Snyder that tells him "this wouldn't have happened if...."

Hey Guys I am new here and I know this sounds kinda of strange but I am a diehard Redskins and 49ers fan.. Anyways I live near the Sacramento area and I heard on the radio KNBR 680 that Sean Taylor does have a warrant out for his arrest and he does have to turn himself in...

I agree....

I remember when O.J. Simpson was a "Person of Interest".

Which is worse...crashing your motorcycle or being detained by police twice in one year?

For those with a slow connection

The Dade County Police Department is looking for Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor, a former Miami Hurricane star.

Taylor

Police have not issued an arrest warrant against him and have not said specifically why they want to talk with Taylor.

A spokesman for the department said the department has contacted the Redskins and family and friends of Taylor and left word that Taylor should contact the department immediately. However, the spokesman said that there were no immediate plans to issue an arrest warrant against Taylor.

Earlier Friday, Detective Robert Williams, a public information officer for the department, said Taylor was "a person of interest" in an on-going investigation regarding an alleged crime, which Williams would not detail. According to Williams, "a person of interest" means Taylor could be a subject, victim or witness of an alleged crime and that the police department was looking for him.

Taylor's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said earlier Friday that he had not spoken with Taylor and had no knowledge of any problems involving Dade County Police and Taylor.

Taylor was the Redskins' No. 1 pick (fifth overall) in the 2004 draft.

Hey Guys I just wanted to let you know that I was listening to the Rick Barry, and Rod Brooks show on KNBR 680 and Rick Barry did say again, I know I already said this, But Rick Barry said that Sean Taylor had a warrant out for his arrest, and he had to turn himself in by 5:00 p.m. Right now my time is 3:34 p.m. I heard this at about 2:45 my time.

Ummm....is the sky falling yet? I mean....it is now 7:00 and if what Jeremy says is true...we're not in a good situation. God darn it! If Sean was in Ashburn all of this crap wouldn't happen.
You know what should happen? Sean's daddy should give him a nice ass whoppin'. He deserves it.
Come on daddy! Give him a whoppin' and treat your kid right. I hope you didn't wish old Seanny to be acting a fool like this!!!!

if you had asked me at the end of the 04 season who my favorite skin was, my answer would have been taylor. he really got into his grove toward the end of the year, and i was really excited about the future. now.... just really disappointed. right now, i'd have to say he's probably my least favorite skin at the moment. boy, how a few months change things.......

Ditto ... last year I had really become accustomed to the idea of a top flight safety making highlight reel plays for years to come and now I am fretting over a moron in mugshots

This is only going to add fuel to the fire where the game has passed Gibbs by stuff is concerned. Someone, somewhere will claim that Gibbs should have seen this coming and picking Taylor was inevitably going to result in this sort of mishap.

. . .enter our ESPN friends, I'm sure. :(

Can't wait to hear about how this would not have happened had he shown up for voluntary workouts and OTAs.

My prediction on how this plays out:

Sean Taylor is not involved in any crime, but the crush of media attention over this is going to cause him to pull back even further. It will be just like after the DUI arrest when he said, "you guys will just write what you want to write anyway, so why should I bother talking about it."

I'll bet he did nothing wrong and everybody is going to blast him for this.

I understand that everybody is frustrated that he's not at OTAs, but let's give him the benefit of the doubt before jumping all over him. He hasn't held out of one day of mandatory practice yet. He may not be doing things they way we'd like him to, but that is his right under his contract and the CBA.

I'm in Taylor's corner until I hear something concrete to change my mind.

Come on now. What is he thinking? This guy still is my favorite player (I dont know whats wrong with me) but he needs to grow up. Maybe missing that one day in his rookie symposium did a lot of bad for him. This doesn't seem like anything the team can do to correct. I'm hoping his dad will give him a good ol' fashioned a$$ whooping. If that doesn't do it, as much as I'd hate seeing him miss more playing time, we should just suspend him for an extended period of time. Oh and as for that Jeremy guy, I don't mean to knock him in any way but why would he register today just to tell us "insider information"? Just wonderin

Well, this will save us a lot of money. If its true Ill be mad for a minute but he's not bigger than this whole team. We'll be fine without him.

Good thing GW stocked up on safeties.
