My wife loves the Joe Gibbs story but hates football. So...

Our duaghter was only two years old when I had to think of something to get her interested in the game at -that- age! So ...

I taught her to dance the "Redskin dance" when Hail to Redskins was played! Do you remember that our cheerleaders used to wear those aborigenal dresses during some of the J.K. Cooke/J.Gibbs years? Well I -made- one for my daughter. Once -we- had practiced the dance all week, my wife was surprised to see my daughter all dressed up and pumped up for the game on Sunday. I said to her wait, I have a surprised for you... Sure enough, Joe Gibbs Skins deliver the goods and the band breaks out to play Hail to the Redskins. My daughter jumps up to dance! My wife was delighted. She borought out the camera and -STAYED- to watch the whole game just for the opportunity to see our daughter jump to dance in jubilation every TD by the Redskins!

We have a very happy marriage and our daughter is becoming now a young lady.

You gotta be creative!

DESkins wrote:I got married in December 1990. We were late starting the ceremony because I had a small tv with me in the room to the side of the church, and I didn't come out until the game was over. My wife was really mad, but I told her that we'd paid to have the folks play some music, so let them earn it!

Respect DESkins!

Desertskin is a little busy right now, patrolling the Abu Garaib area in Baghdad.

However, his fanaticism runs deep. He met his wife in Louisville, KY following the wedding of a friend. He called me a couple of days later, saying "I met the woman I want to marry"

"How do you know?" I asked.

""Because she knows every word of 'Hail to the Redskins'"

She will be the light of your life. Best wishes.

Fantastic story! Please pass on to him our greetings and good wishes for a safe return to base!

Tell him that my daughter plays the song in the piano now!

Dude, That ain't crazy.....THAT IS AWESOME!!! :D

That reminds me on this radio station in the DC area.......99.5FM. A Female disc jockey on that station got dissed so her husband could watch GAME 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. She was so pissed. They had other people call in telling their stories. It was pretty freakin hilarious!

I normally listen to Elliot in the Morning, but I made an exception on that day.

Makes you wonder when they're going to create microscopic NFL Sunday Ticket implants - or even a replacement wireless HD-ready eyeball, complete with DLP technology. :D

My wife and I also went to Belize on our honeymoon. We had a great time. Beautiful country.

I am a Redskins fan above all else, but I live in Atlanta and am a huge Braves fan in baseball. In '91, when the Braves had gone from worst to first and made it to the World Series for the first time since moving to Atlanta, Game 7 was up against the 'Skins (10-0 at the time) MNF football game. Luckily the Braves game was in Minnesota, so I had no option but to watch it on TV (I had attended all the playoff and WS games in Atlanta). I still watched the 'Skins game first, and checked in on the WS game as commercials allowed. Still it was the best sports year of my life.
