here is a guy that played in chicago with their crappy o-line and qb play. he still mananged to put up 1000 yards in 2 of the 4 season, 700 yards while playing 12 games before he got injured and 404 yards his last year there while playing back up.

redskins fans seem to forget that dallas has an o-line that is still one of the best in the league. 2 great tightends.

Ladell Betts numbers cannot touch J. Jones and they dam sure can not touch Anthony Thomas

right now philly has the best back field in the nfc east while i say dallas clearly is head and shoulders above the skins and giants

That team in Texas went out and got a back because Jones couldn't complete a full season, not being sure if this was a fluke or not Parcells brings in someone he knows for sure can't go the whole year

OK, can't complete a full season...based on one broken shoulder blade...nice assessment.

Maybe we should go on record to say that Lavar Arrington will never again play more than 5 games in a season, based on that.

Again, Parcells was gonna get another back regardless of who he had back there. It's simply his style. Lok up Curtis Martin and Keith Byars. Look up OJ Anderson and that platoon of backs behind him.

Thomas was a good pick up for you but to say pairing him with Jones would give you a top five combo, it just a dream

Portis was eighth in the league last season with 343 carries for 1315 yards. JJ and A-Train combined for 319 carries for 1223 yards. If you add Portis and Betts stats from last year, I don't thing they make the top 5,

Add the fact that Thomas was a goal line back and Jones was only active for 8 games (7 really, because he got 2 carries in his first one), and that makes a lot of sense.

...and you're forgetting about Marion Barber as well.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! One of the best? The right side of your line is terrible. Allen and Adms are fine, but took a step back this year. Don't talk about the Pro Bowl for Allen because he is leaning on name recognition any more. Also, Witten is NOT a great blocker nor is Dan Campbell.

Considering those two both started a good number more games than Betts, I hope his numbers are not as good as their's.

Dallas is that good? Clinton Portis and Ladell Betts both do their jobs fine. Thomas was immediately shoved to the bench in Chicago for an RB who had trouble starting over PITTMAN.

When it comes right don to it, Jones is the fourth best starter in the division considering Westbrook has crappy stats, but does a great job at what he has to do. Thomas might be the best #2 behind Buckhalter at best. Those two sound a lot better than they are.

You started to make a somewhat intelligent argument then post something so stupidly assinine like this and it makes everything you type somewhat suspect.

If you would have concentrated on right tackle, your argument has merit, but Rivera at RG is regarded as the best guard in the game right now by multiple credible sources.

If you would have stopped at Witten not being a great blocker, again, there's merit there. He's barely adequate in that role, but to then include one of the better blocking TEs in Campbell into your spiel makes you seem homeristic instead of insightful.

I wouldnt get excited just yet. Jones is unproven, and Thomas has really only had one good season.
