Maybe the thread should be named "get off Cooley". Please read this next line carefully; Heath Miller would not be drafted to replace Cooley. Gibbs likes to have two effective H-back/TE players to create mismatches. Many teams around the NFL use multiple TE's so you don't know which side the to run stuff, which side is vulnerable to the blitz and who has the hot read. Having a stay at home TE like Rasby is nice in goal line situations but it handcuffs us the rest of the time. So please stop trying to make it sound as if Heath Miller would replace Cooley. Gibbs obviously likes Cooley as an H-back more than a TE and this would give him the flexibility to use both at the same time.
Build through the draft!

Cooley played TE in college and plays a different position in the NFL.

He plays HBack and we still employ a totally separate TE position in the offense.

Miller would not just be a blocker, he'd be another offensive weapon through either running or passing, offense is a need, and we don't have a solid TE.

Miller is a real possibility at a real position of need.

TE in Gibbs offense is a blocker, not an offensive weapon. Looks at the history of catches for redskins TE's thru Gibbs entire career. We had some guys with great hands, yet they still never caught many balls. Not only that, but they barely caught any balls. It's a fact that TE's in Gibbs system are blockers 1st and foremost.
