You're right PT, That kick-off that went out of bounds against the Giants was a brilliant stroke of coaching by the Tuna. And the onside opening kick-off by the E-gals was pure Parcells genius.

And Parcells SPECIFICALLY told the Cowboys to watch for the onside kick that day...why do you think Randall Williams was on the first level to begin with? Because Parcells thought he was a great blocker? He PLANNED for it, and Reid did it anyway, and THAT'S why they won the game.

With all due respect to Coach Parcells, everybody on the planet knew to look for the onsides kickoff that day.

I will grant you both points!
That team was not as good as 10-6 and Bill does deserve some credit for that. Also agree that our record last year was not a fair indication of the team or Gibbs.
I think that people who think that Joe Gibbs today is not as good a coach as the Gibbs they do not know or remember are totally mistaken. That will be made obvious on the field soon as it is becoming obvious off the field since the season ended.

Exactly. The Giants kicker and Andy Reid are to blame for at least two wins that season. And it wasn't the Tuna that figured Reid might try the onside opening kick against you again, it was the special teams coach.

Gibbs is a great. And I think he'll go after Parcells. (Remember, Parcells has said he's getting old and is thinking more Horse Racing after Dallas).
Regardless, don't knock what Parcells did in 2003 as lucky and turn the other cheek on Gibbs this year. Gibbs had a better team than that and I'd think you guys would be aware of it.
I'll just add, I'm not taking anything away from Parcells. I was just referring to Parcells vs Gibbs. Like I said, I consider Parcells a very good coach, probably top 10 all time. I consider Gibbs an elite coach, probably top 5. When it's all over we'll have stats to back it up one way or the other....

I don't know there's something "fishy" about Parcells, I just can't seem to put my finger on it.

Gibbs will retire but he will not quit. and he will not retire before turning this franchise around.
But Parcells is a cowpuke, he will quit if the cowpukes dont make it to the playoffs next season.
