Either way, if we were to get a Cb with the #9 pick, I'd wager he'd be the #2 by the middle of the season and thus would an EVERY down player :nana:... man u r tricky though, well done... but being tricky doesnt make you right [-X

For future reference, I'm always right.

Defensive ends are primarily pass rushers. There's nothing wrong with have one that's supposed to be good at that. The problem is, the term "pass rushing specialist" really means "undersized player that's not good enough to play linebacker."

Players that can do it all are getting harder to find, and ones that can do it all pretty well even moreso. There's nothing wrong with working with the talent available.

fine, IF :!: you are right, and we should have pass rushing specialist, why do we need to look outside the roster. There are a number of players we have that can fill this role.
1- Lavar can play DE, which may be a great use of personel when we are in a nickle D
2- Chris Clemons, a young LB/DE who came on strong at the end of last season... we can expect more out of him this yr.
From redskins.com-
Clemons began to establish himself in the Redskins' defense in 2004, recording three sacks as a speed rusher late in the season
3- Philip Daniels will be healthy. He is an ok everydown player, who is known more for pass rushing. Also from redskins.com-
Daniels is a veteran defensive end with a wealth of experience as a pass rusher in the NFL

That one I can't help you with. I don't know enough about your roster or anyone available through free agency or the draft to say what would be best for you guys.

However, I would strongly recommend you draft a kicker in the first round. :)

I wasn't arguing over who you should draft, I was arguing about the usefulness of a pass rushing specialist. I'm not even sure it can be called arguing, what with me always being right and everything ...

sure they are useful, but I was talking about what the skins need, and CB is a bigger need... I still say a good CB is more important than a good DE, but I don't care so much about that. I only care about the skins!

Maybe, but the way you phrased it made it sound like you were taking a con-situational player stance.
