Wow, I was shocked when I read the Post article this morning. I figured I would come here and find others as dismayed as I am. But after reading this thread, I find myself agreeing that the coaches may not consider Pierce such an essential cog in the D as to pay him top dollar to keep him from going to a division rival. They must believe that Barrow can come back this year and perform. I feel much better now. I remember now why I love this site so much. BTW, it's "heart and SOUL" not "heart and SOLE." A sole is the bottom of a shoe.

I am not so sure about Barrow...I don't even think he will be on the team...maybe get released after June 1st...along with Chad Morton.

Look for the Skins to TRY to sign Pierce if the rumor is true that he is giving the team a shot at matching the offer.

If not...then:

1. Kendrell Bell
2. Ed Hartwell
3. Mark Fields (but he is an outside LB)

Plus, there WILL be veterans available in June.

Don't hit the panic button yet.

If Barrow can't play and is cut June 1, I would take Bell in a heart beat.

Guarantee you it won't be as much as we coughed up for Coles.
