Congrats Niki!!!!! I am very excited for you! What a long, arduous process!!!
Is Jackson excited too about his new "school"? What an incredible opportunity you have both been able to share in these past 3+ years. You have provided him such an incredible start to life, being able to be with him through these very important development years.
Keep us posted!

Thanks for all the well wishes guys. I'll let you know as soon as I have an official start date.
Taz it meant alot that I was here for 3 years with Jackson. Although I'm not happy with the American government. I believe a parent (Father or mother) should be given special considerations to stay home and care for their children. It took me so long to get back to work because every other person who interviewed me assumed that I was sitting on my butt using my child as an excuse for 3 years. Little did they know being a full time parent was the hardest position I'll ever hold in my lifetime. No breaks, no lunch hours, no sick days or vacation days. As soon as I get settled my local politicians are going to see some writing from me about the subject!

Oh, I am with you girlfriend!!!! (on so many levels!) I was originally going to post about being fortunate to be a "full-time" mom for these important years in Jackson's life, but then recanted since the correct phrase would be "all-time" not "full-time" and that won't change with a "full-time" paying job!

No, it's different with Moms.
They need to get out and see that there's life out there.

Its funny, I was at a Shell station today and ran into a Muslin man and we were talking about working moms and he surprised me with his take.
He said, "Moms should stay home because women are great motivators and awesome teachers.
Men should only work because they don’t possess the patience and teaching skills women have with children.
He also quoted Hitler in saying, “give me great mothers and you will receive great nations.
Should I believe this man or his qoutes??

A good mom will go a long way towards making the next generation better. But unlike men, women are actually capable of doing more than one thing at a time. It's true, I saw it once.

Ok it's officially official. I start March 1st. I am so happy. And the training thing has been put off because they need me there now. It cannot wait. The only reason I'm waiting until the 1st is because the boss has a family emergency and wants to be there when I start. I'm so excited.

I'll be the assitant to 4 probation officers and the head probation officer as well. So hopefully I never run into ANY of you guys at work.
Thanks for all the positive reactions. Scott and I are pretty excited. We know it'll be an adjustment but TC hit the nail on the head. I need adult interaction. And this will be good for all of us. Even you guys will see a little less of me, which will be a good thing. lol

That's me. TC, the Hammer !!
Good luck, kiddo.
The hardest part is going to be learning how to talk to grownups again.
You'll be surprised at how much kiddie-talk you'll have to supress.
Life's about changes, though...and you need this for yourself. I'm pulling for you.
