Coming back to the topic of the thread, I am convinced Patrick Ramsey and our receivers are in much better shape than D. McNabb and his receivers right now.

first, to stay on topic, because Ramsey is now the starter, will he hold out for a new contract in '05? remember, he held out as a rookie.

second, this Skins team is not the Iggles of '04....there is not just 1 or 2 needs that overwhelm all others. therefore, the Skins should continue to draft the best player available in the first three rounds and then make "need" picks thereafter.

He's under contract through 06 and he knows if he holdout he won't be the starter

what, Brunell will be the starter instead?

Hopefully Brunell will never EVER start another game for the Skins

Hypothetically speaking, if Ramsey were to hold out and I were the coach I'd give Powder Hasselbeck a shot.

This is great news...Patrick is showing solid consistency in the last few weeks. I'm very impressed with him, I really believe Gibbs can bring out the gold in him. Can't wait!

Why isn't McCants, Thrash or Jacobs capable of being a starter?

Thrash I went to school in Eastern Pa. he is not a starter. Jacobs is stupid and lakadasical. He hasn't done anything since he has got here. Mcants is a good no.3 but he is too slow. He only makes plays on the third and fourth corner.

we must draft mike wiliams or an offensive lineman in the first round.Prefferably mike williams in the first round.we must also find a way to get Antonio Perkins CB from oklahoma as a good 3rd Cb and a Kick returner.
I believe the DE and DT in this 2005 draft Do not deserve to be picked in the first round.WE should take a DE late in the 4th rounds.

I think one of the biggest needs right now is a big back. We have sucked at short yardage situations this year. That is also one of our weaknesses in the red zone. We had several chances with one yard and goal to go in the SF game and it has been happening all year all over the field.

The good news is that I don't believe it will be very difficult or expensive to find such a back, either in the draft or via FA.

We should be using ey as the short yardage back.

Our RB is not the reason why we aren't scoring in the redzone. It's the predictability of the plays in the redzone...

Gibbs is getting less predictable throughout games and in the redzone the more games he coaches. Next season, he'll be back to the offensive guru that he is. Portis will be fine at the goalline

None at all. The H-back is supposed to be a hybrid TE and FB, but Gibbs only seems to use him as a TE.

Drafting a big running back might be the solution at FB next year. ey is too good a receiving threat to use him in the backfield. We might even be able to get an aging vet on the cheap to fill in as our short yardage back a-la Dorsey Levens in Philly.

I want a back that can get that tough yard even when everyone knows where it is going. Look, there are only so many holes in the middle of the line, its going to be somewhat predictable. A guy has to make an extra yard after the hit. We need a guy like Gerald Riggs. When he was with the Redskins, 3rd and 1, 3rd and goal, that's all he did. And everyone knew where he was going to go.

If we had a half way decent offense we would have 9-10 wins this year! Every game its the same story offense cant do jack, the defense has to make all the plays and set up great field position for the offense! Its just ridiculous! Yes I agree Ramsey is playing better but we are still missing things on Offense! With Jansen back next year that should really help out Potis!
