Here's my issue, in a nutshell... it carries to his entire philosophy this year...

In several games, they have gotten the running game up to a smoking tempo in the first half, and have been chewing opponents up. Typically, with this situation, a team will continue UNLESS the oppenent is up significantly, in which case you must jump to a pass heavy plan to catch up... OR they stop your running game.

In multiple games, it appeared that Kyle stopped running for no apparent reason... he simply started calling passes, and abandoned the run game.

It has cost us several of those close games.

I do have to say that, after watching Ryan Torrain dancing around during short yardage, between-the-tackles runs, I now have some appreciation for why he called so many off tackle plays in similar situations... Torrain needs to just make a decision and go. Unless he can run between the tackles, he'll never be a long term RB solution.

AND that run on 4th down, NEVER had a chance in hell of getting a first down - TERRIBLE play calling IMO

I had no problem with that play call. That stretch run had been successful most of the day gaining 10+ yards numerous times. I had more of a problem with T Williams getting owned and blowing that play up before it started

it was an evaluation game. I really think that we stopped running the ball because we liked what we saw and moved on to the WR's. Moss is a def. keeper, at least for another year.

Moss won't sign a one year contract. That would be a complete insult to his 93 receptions and 1100+ yards with this QB circus. Moss is the most productive #2 receiver in the league. I'd like to see anyone else produce like that with Galloway and Roydell as the other options for most of the season.

Mikey Shann addressed this by saying that Torain was suppose to blast through, North/South.....instead he chose to "dance around" for a loop outside. Portis woulda made the first down.

NOT having a true #1 possession WR has made it verydifficult for Moss - this is why some of us here are so anxious that we have a viable/big/possession type/WR playing the #1 role here

Please explain what the "#1 role" is. As far as I know, no NFL team looks at a receiver as playing a "#1" or "#2" role.

Rex is a very good #2 QB. Shanny evaluated him because he might need him in 2011 if he drafts a QB.

I like Rex. If he can stop turning the ball over then we might have something. He can be very accurate. I like his placement. He tries to lead the receiver. Something I haven't seen in a long long time.

But that's what you get with Rex. He's the human turnover machine. He turns the ball over; he always has, and he always will.

He's played in 40 games in the NFL, and in those 40 games, he's over 1.5 turnovers average per game; 40 INTs and 24 lost fumbles.

Most of those deep balls are underthrown.

Yes, he is covering up for his son... but at the same time didn't it feel good to see us throwing the ball all over the place? Some wins would've been better but hey whatever.

I'd agree that Mike is "covering" for his son - he seems to want to micro manage EVERYTHING

Kyle did do very well running the offense down in Houston but I'm not sure that he's as much in charge of the O here as he would like
I doubt that Mike let's anyone get too far away from what he wants done here

Mike Shanahan is a VERY demanding coach and I'm sure he's a SOB to work and play for
