Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

Dude! I had a entire movie in my head. That included the chief and cheerleaders on trampolines.

But I shortened it for lack of typing ability .
I firmly believe the Patriots are the antichrist.

I think this is mostly wishfull thinking. It will be nice. But this is just what the PR department told him to say. I mean, Gibbs probably said when he told Snyder that he was resigning that he would stick around and help if need be. Then he says this in the press confrence so that there is no panic by the fans.

I don't believe for a minute, that Gibbs would say ANYTHING someone else 'told' him to say, like the PR department. That's ridiculous. Joe Gibbs IS Mr. Redskin and has earned the respect of the fans, the city and the owner. Joe can and will say whatever he wants, and anybody that knows anything about the man, would ever question his character or his honesty.

I do however, agree with this post. That's the impression I got as well. Although, I do think Gibbs will be of assistance to Dan with regard to draft picks and free agent acquisitions this offseason. Most likely not for years to come, but at least for this year. That's my opinion anyway.

I think you're right about Gibbs' roll this off-season, unless we get a guy like Cowher who would demand full control over personnel decisions. If GW becomes the head coach I would expect Gibbs to help out a good deal in free agency and the overall transition to the new coach. However, after this offseason I would expect Gibbs to get more involved in his Nascar team and take a much less active roll with the Skins.
