I wouldn't have gone for two if it ended in a TD. One point difference is different than 4. Not to mention the faith it would've shown going for it.RedskinsFreak wrote:This early, field goal's not all that terrible.
It would eliminate what would have been the wrong choice of going for a 2-point conversion if this drive had ended in a TD.

At a 15-point deficit (21-6), you're thinking two TDs and one 2-point conversion. There's temptation to go for the 2 after the first TD and, if you don't make it, you're chasing that point the rest of the game.
I don't think Gibbs would have gone this early. Just that some do.

Oh, I understand the math you're talking about, but I disagree. I wouldn't have been chasing a tie. I would've been trying to put as many points on the board possible.RedskinsFreak wrote:Champsturf wrote:I wouldn't have gone for two if it ended in a TD. Campbell is crap. Almost every other pass is either overthrown, underthrown, intercepted or almost intercepted.
Don't say next year this and next year that....look at what Vince Young is doing in his FIRST year. Look at Rivers....
Once again the Redskins prove why they have to operate in free agency, because they can't draft.
Given Betts performance, looks like the Bailey - Portis trade was a huge mistake as well. How often does a Bailey type corner come along? Once a decade?
About the only way trading Bailey would have been a good trade is if it were for LT....not Portis. Portis is a top 5 - top 10 back, while Bailey is #1 corner in the NFL.
Hell, what am I talking about......this whole team is a joke.......and the entire coaching staff should be fired.......including Joe God
