Hopefully we will finally see a Skins QB this season who can hit a WR in stride and not be afraid of taking a shot.

Watch Carson Palmer, Eli, Payton, Drew Brees. All standing in the pocket and delivering the ball under duress, hitting WRs in stride.

MB can't hit a moving object unless its Betts within 10 yds. When has a Skins reciever caught a ball 15 yrds or longer running in stride this season???

I am not sorry to see Brunell replaced. It should have been done a couple games ago. Campbell will take his lumps and make his mistakes but I am willing to wait and see for next year. Better this than 7 more games of Brunell and the dink-n-dunk offense.

Thinking about it. I go to school in Miami so I might try to make the trip if I can convince some of my friends to go with me.

Yes!!! I am glad they decided to go with Campbell. It does not matter, win or lose, it is time for a change. I am not expecting him to come out like Romo but I do hope to see him play better in week 17 than this weekend. Just make some strides and get ready for next year.

I do feel bad for Brunell also. I like him and the problems run deeper but maybe this will inspire the team to know Gibbs cares and wants to do what is best for this team. I love the move and I can't wait to see JC at my first 'skins home game in two weeks!!!!!!

I am sure that JanseFan is as eager as I am to hear what Brandon Lloyd has to say about this change and its potential for succes in the near and mid-terms.

All the more reason to follow Lloyd's show here this week.

No, he wasn't running in stride.

BTW: Here's a video I found on YouTube of Jason Campbell...its a video tribute to him and his years at Auburn

Tribute videos are tough, all the videos of Campbell I've seen... it's hard to tell if the QB or the reciever or the defense is responsible for the play, lol.

Anyway, check this out:

It looks like Campbell may be a character risk... because he carries those guns with him at all times.

That's about the only tape Gruden and Tampa will get up to now. Hopefully, we will give the rest of the NFL a lot to watch after next Sunday.

This is the best news so far this season, let the future begin.

I think it was funny to see earlier today redskins.com tv had a interview with brunell obviously before any decision was made and Mark was talking up ladell and how he "just needs to clean some things up" blah blah finally Gibbs stood up and did the right thing.

Now having wished for this I think the main thought is "be carefull what you wish for" I mean we are all going to need to be patient Jason might throw a pick or two or three we just have to remember how truly lame Brunell was when times are hard, but I think he's gonna rock n roll us to the playoffs.

My friend who is as devout a Dallas fan as I am a Redskins fan just called and said "Did you hear the news? The Redskins have given up their Dunkin Donuts offense." I thought that was hilarious.

Ladies & Gentleman:

The most important decision of Gibbs second coming has been made.

Thank God.

Whatever JC does this season, even if he throws 5 ints in a game, has to be seen as a maturation process. Every second he stays in a 42-0 debacle will be part of his learning curve in a brutal league.

Get ready for a wild, maybe frustrating but hopeful season!

Fantastic!

Might as well jump in with my 2 cents. Saw this just before work so obviously I'm late jumping in on this thread. Just wanted to say that, as many have already said, that we need to find out if JC can play, and play well, in the NFL. Some will view this decision as having given up on this season. Hoever, I disagree, as already noted, other teams have not given up by turning the QB position over to their young players who have all been named. Many of them are currenlty leading their teams to winning records. It's not about who gives us the best chance to win anymore. It's a simple matter of making the right decision regarding what is best for the future of the Washington Redskins. And that decision is that we need to find out exactly what do we have in Jason Campbell, and can he be successful in the NFL as the QB of the Wasington Redskins.

Does it matter? He didn't play D at all. Relegated to Special Teams only.

Exactly! That's why he's not playing D anymore. No one believes he can cover anyone. Hey, he even made a tackle playing on teams which is where he probably belongs. But, hey, get back on topic. This is a Jason Campbell thread.
