We can rest against the Cowpukes as much as I don't want them to, but would be smart.

Ill eat crow...temporarily. Now were going to stuck with a Matt Flynn and an idiot coach. Two games ago Cousins and Gruden cant beat Matt Cassel and now they are franchise savers? No way. Gruden was 1 pt away from getting fired after the TB game and KC was horrible as recently as 2 weeks ago.

Enjoy the playoffs, this is as good as this team will ever be under Gruden.

Cousins has 26 TDs, 11 INTs, and 4,000 yards. And a lot of those stats were rung up in the second half of the year, showing demonstrable growth.

What would make you happy???

Fair question. I would like him to look competent against teams that haven't tossed in the towel or whose teams aren't stalling out. The second part of the year he has played like 2 winning teams- and in those he has looked like a backup that he is. Go back 2 games to Dallas at home. pathetic. So what you beat the Bills when they were disintegrating. So what you beat Philly when the organization and leadership is in shambles. Good teams like Carolina and the Patriots make him look like the Matt Flynn he is. Proud teams like a Cassel-led Dallas beat him on guts. He cannot beat winning teams or tough teams. Franchise QBs beat winning teams. They don't flame out against good competition and then garbage time the bottom feeders. I will never say Captain Pick is a franchise QB because he sloppy times the weak teams in crisis and picks his butt against the winners. If he starts to beat the winning teams, which I don't believe he has the physical ability to do, then I will change my mind. But until then, he is maxed out, playing well beyond himself against teams that are struggling as organizations and teams. He will get paid, but he will not deliver the goods beyond this year because the NFC is a wreck. He will be an underperforming asset versus Salary going forward.

But the biggest problem is that KC and this weak back end schedule allowed the most incompetent coach in the NFL to keep his job. If Cousins does beat the 99.9999% odds against him being a franchise QB and actually ends up a Franchise QB, Gruden's amateur coaching will squander it for sure.

Enjoy the playoffs. Kirk will have the NFC East leader schedule next year, he cannot possibly get so lucky with the events that helped him this year and he just cannot beat winning teams. Franchise him for 1 year and see if he can shoulder the load.

Hitman- you're flat out wrong on MANY levels.

1. The Fecals came to play (home field advantage nonetheless), a team whom also recently beat the Patriots.

2. After the mid way point, our schedule was deemed the hardest remainig in the NFL.. most those tough losses being at the opponents house. The puke game was *sh$t* play calling, poor officiating, and ultimately a tough pill to swallow. Seems to have awakened a sleeping giant, maybe it was the perfect learning experience we needed??

3. Cousins has turned it around.. Not just to "pretty good" standards, but to phenomenal Pro Bowl standards.

4. Our YOUNG Head Coach and YOUNG (as in first FULL season) QB are learning AND improving as we go... What else could you ask for, save progress??

5. We have a WINNING record, AND are division CHAMPS!! Soak it up bro!!

6. Kirk has set MULTIPLE franchise records, over our boy RGiii even!! HAIL YA

7. The team we are seeing the last couple weeks is LEGIT. The play calling has been tailored to foot on the gas rack up points status, over the training wheels don't put to much pressure on Kirk we saw most of the year...

The sky is the limit brother, an NYG esque SB run is possible bro, we are peaking at the perfect time!!!

While hitmandm makes some valid points, I do believe he goes overboard. When the announcers last night were naming the Skins' possible first play-off opponents (SEA, GB, MIN, or ATL), I thought to myself the Skins can take ATL, they stink. MIN would be a toss-up, but there's no way in hell we are beating GB or SEA. No way in hell! I don't know what's happened to our run game, but it's basically non-existent. Is Almo hurt or something? He looks awful! It's time to bench him and play the other back (don't remember his name)...he has looked much better than Almo...we need to do something to get the running game back as the offense has become way too pass happy. What happens when the passing game isn't working and we have no running game? I guess we lose. And that bone-headed debacle at the end of the 1st half, WTH was that? Stupid crap like that can easily cost us the game in a close one. Luckily last night's game wasn't close enough to make that a factor. As I watched last night's game I just kept thinking to myself, which other play-off teams are watching this game and thinking they don't want to play either of these teams. I have the feeling that if teams double up on Reed, we're done. Yes, Jackson and Garcon had a couple of decent catches last night, but I don't think they're going to carry the offense if Reed is shut down, and with no running game, I don't like our chances. Maybe this team will shock (and it would be a shock) me and step it up by beating a team like GB or SEA, but I don't think they're there yet, however, I don't think anyone can say they haven't improved...

Ok fair enough. I say their improvement is smoke and mirrors imho. They beat teams that are hanging it, disintegrating and floundering at the end of the year. Meh. Look at the Dallas game a few weeks ago. A team with pride with a BU QB makes KC looks like Matt Flynn and Jay Gruden looks like the Arena Coach he is. Gruden was clear not to be NFL quality after that game and Cousins still reminded people of a BU QB with his inability to deliver. Now they are franchise components? No way I say. But if you are right and I am wrong it is time for KC and Fat Gruden to prepare and perform against a good team. Lets see if stupid Gruden has the brain power to outcoach someone and if KC has the physical ability to make plays that require beating better talent. Im not interested in a playoff every few years. I want a good team that is capable of winning it all for an extended period of time. No way Gruden has that ability. I seriously doubt Cousins has that physical ability. Weve been sold this routine for the past 20 years-trashpile people coming in and lucking into a playoff and we are to be sold that we have the foundation of a real team. I wont be happy until we have that and I don't think we are even close.

You're both wrong. Look at the final scores today. Lots of good teams lost. Any team can beat any other any given Sunday. We are in the playoffs, and are peaking at exactly the right time. The Ginas' last two SB wins were not great teams by any means. Why not the Redskins?
