No, I meant what I said.

I have never been a fan of him. I'd rather open a roster spot for a player that can contribute more. We had this same conversation last year.

I like him even less than Cartwrite, and I couldn't stand that guy.

Crazy post of the week alert! (you may won the award)

The heat in Texass must be getting to you simply don't like BB because he is small, results be damned. Of course you have the same take on Cooley, so I can always expect your posts to be irrational.

Thanks, and where are you from? I'm guessing Florida? Like Fort Myers. My grandmother lived down there. She said she felt more comfortable around other slow driving cotton tops :)

And yes, I do not like Brandon Banks because all he offers is kick returns. If he were useful anywhere else, ANYWHERE, I might have a different opinion. I also am not a fan of excuses, which members on this board seem to be full of.

BTW, has BB recovered from his stabbing in the night club altercation... yeah, great guy!

- I don't care if he contributes at all at WR, he is worth a roster spot based on just the field position he provides.

Shanny says he has to do more than return kicks.....

From what I'm hearing he got the message, AND making catches most here doesn't think he's capable of (in traffic, during contact and over the middle).

Banks is doing his part, granted it's only two days in....

Rich Tandler on PR candidates:

Something I left out of Thursday’s training camp notes:

The Redskins had just three players fielding punts during the special teams portion of yesterday’s practice. Actually, four players were gathered near where the JUGS machine was sending punts. Incumbent Brandon Banks, second-year receiver Aldrick Robinson and rookie free agent receiver Brian Hernandez actually fielded punts while veteran Santana Moss watched .

The punts were fielded flawlessly with the exception of one muffed Hernandez, the player who can least afford a gaffe. He dropped and did some pushups after the miscue but that won’t erase the fumble from the eye in the sky.

Clearly the battle is on between Robinson and Banks. I don't see it an either for these guys. If both of them light it up, then one will be traded or Shanny will keep both since he says that he keeps the best 53.

Just a note: If it is OK to believe that Robinson has improved, it is just as fair to believe that Banks has improved as well.

We'll see on the field who has improved the most .

Rich Campbell‏@Rich_Campbell

WR Aldrick Robinson has a hat trick today: Dropped pass, false start and slipped on an in cut. #Redskins

This is not going to help Robinson's cause.

Aldrick bounces back at the end of practice:

Rich Campbell‏@Rich_Campbell

Aldrick finishes practice with a 50-yd TD from Rex. Ran straight past the DB on a go route. Great straight line speed. Nice bounce back, too

Best weapons? You are way off.

Not sure what pride fighting has anything to do with this. I'm glad I know why you defend him so much, the "little man syndrome" I guess. Explains a lot actually.

I already told you why I do not like him. And yes, size has something to do with it. It restricts him in other roles. I would like to see him more than just a kick returner. If he can contribute to the team in another way I don't mind.

I hear a lot of excuses and again we are talking about him this year as being on the bubble. There is a reason for it.

So accurately accessing why BB's TD's were removed from that stat column is "excuse making"? A yes/no will suffice.

Overview

Briscoe is a talented receiver that has been plagued with inconsistencies. He builds to speed more than being explosive or instant but does show a gear to pull away once he gets even with defenders and can run down some deep balls. He is not as physical or aggressive to the ball when in a crowd as you’d expect for someone with his size. If he can mature both physically as well as emotionally he has a chance to become a quality second receiver.

Analysis

Strengths
Briscoe has really nice size. Has been extremely productive in college. Has a nice set of hands and can grab the errant throw, fight for the jump ball and extend and catch away from his body. Is a surprisingly effective player after the catch. Is natural with the ball in his hands, can make defenders miss, and has a natural feel for finding open seams.
Weaknesses
Briscoe needs to become a more consistent performer. Isn’t overly sudden and builds to speed as he goes. Doesn’t eat up cushions quickly. Occasionally hears footsteps over the middle and gets alligator arms. Needs to become more reliable catching the ball in traffic.

Is this accurate?

Banks must ...

1 Contribute at WR.

2 Secure the ball.

3 Not get hurt.

Do all three to a greater degree than most guys on the team.

Finally, his size/strength makes 2 and 3 tougher than otherwise.

I was thinking a more entrenched guy could afford to strain something and not lose a spot while it would more likely endanger Banks. Same with fumbling.

I think it all depends. Just like with everything else job security comes into play. If BB can play a good slot receiver role like I think he should, I believe his spot will be safe even if an injury occurs.

After appearing in only two games as a rookie in 2010, Briscoe caught a team-high six touchdowns in 2011. He missed some voluntary offseason workouts because of an undisclosed family matter.

The Bucs did not cite that as a reason for his release, Briscoe's agent Erik Burkhardt said. But he and his client said there were blindsided.

"We were definitely surprised. Dez loved it there," Burkhardt said. "He had six touchdowns and led the team in what was basically his rookie year. Very few receivers catch six touchdowns when they're the No. 3 guy on an offense that doesn't score much."

"But I respect it. Greg (Schiano) is the head coach. And Dez is really appreciative of the organization because they gave him a chance to get his career started."

Yes

So... Using your "logic".

Let's say whomever you prefer gets BB's roster spot. And that player has 5 returns called back due to his teammates being penalized. You're saying that he too should be replaced? A yes/no will suffice.

Big things come in small packages , it being proven time after time, and while BB isn't Bruce Lee he has inFACT shown us he can score against the bigger NFL players, often times making it.look easy.

You type and type the same nonsensical drivel, and then point fingers.. obviously this conversation is over your head.. blah blah.. blah blah blah, do more then return kicks- ahem he does a boatload more then that, oh and he actually SCORES.

He didn't stab anyone for the record.. and you've never been to a night club at that age? I thought screwston tex was where its at? Smfh

Him THROWING for a td aswell as rushing for a td, on top of more catches in his NFL career then Robinson- are things you over look when talking out of your behind blinded by the pure hate for someone becuase what they weigh less then you?
Huh... That's why I liked pride fighting, open weight! Does the big guy always win? Ask everyone I've ever got into a fight w... Little man syndrome is pure motivation, and flows deep in Banks' veins.

Neeeeext!
Another bs excuse why you hate one of our best weapons blindy without any coherent arguement other then he's to small for your taste?

Best weapons? You are way off.

Not sure what pride fighting has anything to do with this. I'm glad I know why you defend him so much, the "little man syndrome" I guess. Explains a lot actually.

I already told you why I do not like him. And yes, size has something to do with it. It restricts him in other roles. I would like to see him more than just a kick returner. If he can contribute to the team in another way I don't mind.

I hear a lot of excuses and again we are talking about him this year as being on the bubble. There is a reason for it.

Yall must have the best weed in the world in Tx, ima look into that. Hate to smoke myself plum stupid tho...

And here I thought the biggest retards were from Texas. Type that crap over again and maybe I will read more than two words before disregarding.

And FYI, You can make fun of Texas all you'd like it has not effect either way. I'm from NOVA, only live here 3 months out of the year specifically for the weather and hot chicks.

So accurately accessing why BB's TD's were removed from that stat column is "excuse making"? A yes/no will suffice.

Yes

So... Using your "logic".

Let's say whomever you prefer gets BB's roster spot. And that player has 5 returns called back due to his teammates being penalized. You're saying that he too should be replaced? A yes/no will suffice.

If that player is going into the third year with the same issues, yes.
