I'd agree FFA - I don't understand the point about a lot of guys in the NFL having character issues - so what

we had one in Haynesworth - I think he's gone and good riddance

it sounded like D Thomas had a bit of an attitude - guess what, he's gone too

I like the fact that Shanahan is really pushing these guys and will not accept anything but the max effort on the field and on the practice field

I think Vick is fantastic player - just doesn't translate that he might be any good here at all






I do know that of all the players with character issues a lot of them seemed to come out of a certain college in Florida

The problem with that though is that you aren't going to find very many NFL teams (if any) that don't have guys with questionable "character".

What's the problem supposed to be? People who value character just aren't going to like those specific guys. I don't like T.O. for that very reason, and even if he was a Redskin I wouldn't like him. Doesn't mean I still can't like and follow the Skins.

And besides, I prefer to focus on the positive. I don't like Haynesworth, but I have lots of praise for Fletcher, Daniels, Carter, and many other players who carry themselves professionally and with class.

The point I was trying to make is that it's hard, if not impossible, to put together an NFL team without signing or drafting guys with questionable backgrounds or character.
