Yeah, the Skins should have done more, and should have won that game with their play, but the refs were horrible and inconsistent and definitely didn't help our chances.

Riley sucks...give him his walking papers. I predict he'll be cut....and soon.

Clearly, the QB is the least of our problems at this point.

True.
How about drafting a high caliber Center.

What did we learn today:
Our Oline still sucks...shoulda kept the same lineup as last week
Keiland W is not very good...dancing around instead of running N/S
Our receivers all have a case of the droppsies
Riley has NO business being in a Skins uni....cut him

that too...and we've also learned that:
we are a generous team giving FIRST wins, TD, etc...to teams who have been in a drought.

I have to say that today was pretty embarrassing. I think it was that we kept shooting ourselves in the foot. Our defense had a very good game plan. But the issue I saw was that we didn't execute for (expletive). 11 runs vs 35 passes is just awful. Can't say that Williams is "Terrible" because he's shown that if he's been given the ball, he can make plays. Riley had a very clear block in the back that was unfortunate and I would say was the turning point in the game only b/c it took 7 pts off the board and our offense went 3 and out. Some question the clarity - block in the back is all about where the receiving teams helmet is in the hit. If it's on the front side of a side body shot, not a block in the back. If it's on the backside, on a side body shot - block in the back. Either way, Riley was trying to make a play and was just inches away from making a stud block. Too bad the NFL is very fast for Rookies but he'll learn.
Moss' tipped pass killed us as well only because in the previous possession, he had that clear first down drop. Predictable playcalling, poor execution cost us the game today IMO. Move on to next week.

I'm not betting on Riley being on this team for long. His block was with his hands ....not even his helmet. He's the scapegoat for sure. Our offense.......is offensively INEPT

The Bears just beat the Eagles so the Redskins are only two games back.

It's a lost cause. We were just embarrassed in our own house against a team that has imploded and without their star running back.
Maybe next year.

I'm hoping we don't win anymore so we can draft higher... if we haven't traded it away.

Wasn't this the same Viqueens defense the Packers scored 31 points on last week, and the Skins could only manage 13?

The Redskins have Beaten:
The Eagles - Check
The Bears - Check
The Cowboys - Check
I have no illusions only that the team the people are so hard on after every loss have beaten the teams above. It's crazy, but with the way this team has played this year I would not be surprised if they did beat the Giants. They may still make 8-8.

Yes, but that was under Childress' regime. The Vikings sadly chose to fire him one week too early or the Skins would have put up 30.

I don't think the Skins could score 30 points if the defense playing against them wasn't even on the field.

I don't see the sky falling. This was not, and is not, a playoff team. It should be an 8 - 8 team, give or take a game.
OL: rebuilding
RB: depends on OL
QB: McNabb looks better than anyone since Rypien or maybe Brad Johnson with a fair wind.
TE:

ey (and only...)
WR: Moss (who has been with he team a long time. Call it a "lost generation" of WR)
DL + LB: learning and sorting things out
DB: running on empty, but still running
Incidentally, I don't care about one or two draft positions. I want the Redskins to win the next game, and each "next game" after that.

Who is this?
Yep ....you guessed it.... friggin Perry
Numbskull Riley
Sorry to be mean, but you must be exposed. You cost us the game. Two times, you get called for the same penalty.

Hey, though, it's not like McNabb decided to head-butt a concrete wall, is it?

This is the sort of blind homerism, I don't understand.
Here's the reality:
- There is not one playmaker on the entire team (outside of Banks who we got as an undrafted free agent).
- There is nobody on offense that the opposing defense has to scheme for
As for specifics...
OL - we need 4 quality O Linemen. The rest are garbage.
RB - we need a playmaker
TE - need a decent blocking TE. There's not one TE on this team that could block their way out of a wet paper bag
WR - once again need a playmaker.
QB - need to find a young QB to build around. McNabb looks like he's a 50 years old.
Defense
- Who's bad idea was the 3-4 any way? We don't have the personnel for it...
- Absolutely no depth.
As for the specifics:
DL - Not good enough to run the 3-4. They need to control the linemen and let LBs make plays. To date, they've failed miserably.
LB - Completely the wrong guys to play the 3-4.
SS - Finally, we put L.Landry in the right spot.
FS - Kareem is a good back-up, but we've got to find somebody quicker/faster.
-----
I reiterate, there is not one playmaker on offense on this entire team.

Gee, Mr Burns, can I have a six-pack? To make it clear:
- The OL is being rebuilt.
- Runners don't matter if you have an OL. They are the engine of the offense.
- There are only two receivers. The team needs another TE and two more WRs
- the entire defense is being evaluated as they learn the 3 - 4. Should they have changed from the 4 - 3? I don't care anymore. The decision is made. It happens that I believe the 4 - 3 is the True and Only Proper Defensive Alignment, a defense perfected by George Allen, Jack Pardee, and Richie Petibon. My opinion doesn't matter, so it will take a season to adjust.
This team should win about half the games. One special team guy more or less doesn't change anything.
