I'm just amazed that you have this much confidence in a player that has not done what he has said he would do since he became a part of this organization
please clarify why we should feel secure in your belief that this player is going to "be there when it counts" - what has he ever promised to do here and actually done

He'll be there b/c he's too good for Shanahan not to put him in. I think I've said that before.
And the difference between me and you is that I'm not trying to turn the world against Haynesworth, I'm expressing my opinion. I couldn't care less if the rest of Redskins nation agrees with what I think. You, on the other hand, appear to need to brow beat people in to bending to your will.

Make our defense better by being the best DT in football? More than double our sack totals from the previous year, by occupying double and triple teams? Make it next to impossible to run on us up the middle, stopping the opposition in goal-line situations on several different occasions?

I've pointed that out as have other ppl. There's no place for logic and analytical thought in the lynch mob mentality.

From what I can see, Vet... there is exactly 1 (spelled ONE) member who is completely fed up with Albert. Perhaps that qualifies as a lynch mob somewhere, but not here...

his knee is fine in an MRI testing. he is just out of shape in quick sprints movements and his knees are reacting to it. imo.

his knee is fine in an MRI testing ....
no surprises there then.
If haynesworth's "injury" causes him to miss training camp and part/all of the season, does he still get to keep the money he stole off us in April?

Why? It's clear that this is a punitive measure. I like what I'm seeing here, although I admit to a cringe of sympathy for Haynesworth. The coach is running the team. Westbrook will undergo the same tests that any free agent must pass before signing.
Because while it was obviously punitive, Shanahan didn't publicly address it as such. The standard they used was "any player who has missed more than 50 percent of offseason work has to prove that they are in football shape."
If he doesn't apply this to Westbrook, he not only looks petty, but he looks like he's not a straight shooter. Technically you could argue that Westbrook was not a member of the team, thus didn't "miss" workouts. But, teams have required their newly drafted rookies who held out to take a conditioning test. Notably, Terrence Cody and Ndamakung Suh.

He already explained that Jamal Brown didn't have to do the test even though he didn't participate. So don;t expect that anybody else who comes in to take the test either.

He probably participated in his own teams offseason program.

Haynesworth made the decision to go have to go through this 'evaluation test' - this ONLY applies to a player that wanted to avoid all the OTAs and offseason conditioning because he felt that he would be in better shape by doing so - Westbrook may choose to become a Redskin but IMO he should not have to go through the same 'deal' because he basically did not behave like Haynesworth did
Haynesworth made a bad decision and he was showed up as a result of that - players need to know their place and Haynesworth showed he has no respect for his coaches - Westbrook is a completely different class of player and individual
