Amen!
I second that.
Look guys Sean Taylor was gonna make the pro-bowl but now with this he might not even play another game this season or at all.I love taylor I would hate to see him go like this.
I just bought a Taylor jeresey and plan to wear on Sunday. As many people as possible should wear a Taylor jeresey on Sunday so his family knows we have him in our thoughts and prayers.
Just getting off work and catching up on the news regarding Sean. This is unbelievable, and I feel so bad for him and his family. I hope that he has a full recovery. He's so young and so talented, it's just a shame to see something like this happen.
Apparently Sean is now responsive. Thank God! I seriously just walked up the steps and finished saying a prayer for him and I walk in and here that! He's not out the woods yet but thats great news!
Just want to let everyone know how thankful I am that you are keeping this thread up to date with news from local sources. I don't really trust the national media, especially the internet news and your "local knowledge" has been a comfort. I haven't posted my thoughts earlier because I think they've already been expressed by others, but my heart goes out to Sean and his family. It was like a gut punch when I found out this morning. I'm still sick over it. I'm so encouraged that the news is turning from what seemed like all downhill to a positive turn of events.

Someone else said this but I like it, I'm pulling for Sean Taylor the man, whether he plays another down of football doesn't matter to me.
Amen to both of you.
I just heard about him grabbing a nurses hand. For the first time today, I think I can smoke a cigerette without dryheaving from being full of nerves.
I hope this is the first of many more good news reports.
I will continie to pray for ST, and that the sob that did this gets caught.

So true. Nat'l media is way behind on this. I'm thankful to find out that the lastest news is much more positive.
I believe Fios said it earlier as well as myself and Redskin1 but I fully believe that Sean is going to make it through this 100% I just see this as being something in his life that's going to make him reach out to others. I think that this will work in his favor. He'll be able to reach out and touch someone elses life and help steer others whom he see's straying down his old path into a better life.
I just went through the entire thread in disbelief and pain. I found out about this the hard way in this website because I am not in North America right now. So, I do not have access to many news.
Obviously, I have no news to add. I am just another fan in pain adding my best wishes for life to Sean and his family.
Thanks to all of you guys for pulling together on this. I have no more words.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

The Lord works in mysterious ways. I have often found that things that seem negative at the time work out to be positives in the long run.

I make sure that I'm the 1st to speak to others about my experiences... They're doing no good if I don't use my experiences to guide others to a quick resolution than I was able to achieve. Sean will recover. He'll be 100% He'll be with his family, the team. It's just a matter of time and I believe this 100% Sometimes all you can do is just believe the best will come out.
The update from Washington Post in case anyone cant get there.
A REALLY REALLY POSITIVE SIGN (UPDATED)
Les Carpenter, who is working the story for us in Miami, heard rumblings that Sean may have opened his eyes.
I have not been able to get that confirmed but just heard from a team offical that Sean is now responsive, which is obviously a turn for the best. I will continue working away to get more details, but this is obviously a turn for the better after Sean spent much of the day in a "non-responsive and unconscious" state.
As the person put it: "Finally, the first good news all day." Let's hope it's the first of more to come.
UPDATE: Vinny Cerrato just called us with confirmation.
"He was responsive to the doctor's requests to squeeze his hands and showed facial expressions. The doctors were very happy about that," Cerrato said " ... Two doctors came and told us they were excited about that."
Cerrato also confirmed my earlier reports about Sean being "non-responsive and unconscious."
Cerrato said: "We'd heard all that, and what they told us was to hope for a miracle."
Cerrato said Taylor is still in critical condition but did not have many details beyond that.
Les Carpenter reports from the hospital there that the mood has changed dramatically around there and people are suddenly in much better spirits.
Just got off the phone with Richard Sharpstein, Sean's lawyer and a family friend.
Richard said they are saying Sean is in stable but critical condition and remains under constant care in the ICU.
"This was a great ray of sunshines, but we're not out of the woods yet," Sharpstein said from the hospital. "The doctors are stil guarded about the diagnosis. Until he comes to and speaks and recognizes people, they are going to be guarded, but this was obviously a very positive sign and a recognition of a command."

I work on the road (delivering for an electrical supplies wholesaler) and my dad called me this morning with the bad news.
I was pretty shaken up and I couldn't get good radio reception in order to follow the progress of the story... I spent all day worried and trying to find out as much information as I could.
The most troubling news was that Taylor may have possible brain damage from the massive loss of blood... but that seems to have been premature speculation.
Hopefully Sean Taylor can recover and do what he loves to do at a high level again... but more than that I just hope for his health to hold up for his own sake. He really seems like a good guy who's come to a crossroads in his life and made the right decision about where to go.
