Another TD for NE. Good thing, too; we almost held 'em, which would've ruined the whole plan!!

Im detecting a hint of sarcasm.

I'm sorry but we suck. Preseason or not. How many TD's has our starters put out there and how many Td's has other teams scored against our first string D. Look, I'm not saying that we won't put it together at some point in the season but as of now, we suck. I can't imagine that any team would want to go out there and get their butt kicked. That just doesn't make any sense. Be logical.

Not simple at all, but I've seen Joe do it too many times to bet against it.

I'm guessin if Gibbs had to do it over again he'da used training camp to rip a new one in them. It's too late now to do that. They gotta figure out how to get in game condition in the next few weeks.

I totally agree....I do not understand the idea that things are going to be ok or that this is some grand scheme and just a "practice"...that is totally not right....In any way you look at it, we are in trouble....

That's one positive. The hype was getting too much this off-season, but it's definitely being ratcheted down now.

Our longest gain from scrimage has been 14 yds.

The simple things (blocking, tackling, throwing, catching) need to be done -- regardless of what your opponent does or how basic your gameplan is.

And that hasn't been demonstrated to any level tonight.

I don't care about the score. It's the effort and execution that are AWOL.

Well, sure, maybe this is an ultra-suave motivation technique that Gibbs has planned all along. Get your guys to play like complete and utter <insert nasty word here that starts with an "S"> and then they'll take you seriously later.

I happen to think that the Skins really do need a little work here. Perhaps they've read their clippings, or maybe just aren't ready for prime time. I'm not saying they won't be, but I really doubt anyone wanted to see a performance like this.

Fully agree. This is the real concern. The basics have taken the night off (I would add "covering" as well).

It's not just tonight. The Skins have not shown any ability to execute the basics at all this preseason.

EXACTLY!! Does anyone think the coaches told 'em "It's ok to drop a few balls out there"??

It wasn't this bad in the previous games.

If we still can't do anything when we are calling our real plays, I'll be concerned.

Until then, I consider this a bad practice.

Dont get me wrong, Im not a naysayer. But catching is catching regardless of the route.

Moss and Llyod dropped multiple passes.
