AMEN

Not only THAT but the defense game plan was BASED on HIM covering Dez one on one all game long and win that battle over and over again.

Congrats Hall!

Seriously, Hall PUNKED that kid. Unbelievable. He's going to be having bad dreams about D. Hall until next September.

Probably because Reed Doughty is the better player.

How? seriously can you even say that? How many times has Reed been burned in deep coverage? Last I recall Kevin Barnes playing safety he was intercepting a pass to close a game out......I can't ever recall causing a fumble or even getting an interception. We know he is a fan favorite for him playing so well after Sean was killed but that pig don't fly no more......

These kind of comments come from purple that don't actually watch Daughty play. He is far from our biggest problem on defense. If you ask me Madoodoo Williams is much more of a liability than Daughty.

Most accurate assessment on the thread ... and yesterday's huge win is the proof.

D.Hall took Dez Bryant out of the game .. was all over him like a cheap suit and proved that he can still get it done. No question that he is our best corner, and Sunday, he played like a shut down corner. "De-Island" baby !

And did you see Doughty out there flying around and blowing stuff up, like that dive bomb he put on that took out the lead blocker and the runner too? He played one of his best games of the year. Wilson played very well, and Hasslett called a brilliant game .... had Romo totally confused and discombobulated ...... the only error was on the TD to Whitten ... rushing 3 and dropping 8 was a big mistake .... you cannot give any QB 8 freaking seconds to find a target, and no secondary can keep receivers covered that long.

But Williams is really the weak link, and has been most of the year, allowing so many big plays. He's just not an instinctive player, he's rather slow, and never seems to be in position to make plays .... takes bad angles and let's too many plays get behind him too often .... That will kill your defense, no matter what defense is called, and offenses are going to go after him. Just like that AWEFUL play that lost the Giants game .... Haz had the right coverage called, but Maddoo "Maddening" Williams was caught flat footed, standing there like he was a school crossing guard or the Washington Monument, with Cruz blowing bye bye kisses as he streaked past him. When one guy plays like that, you're effectively playing 10 against 11, and that's just a recipe for disaster, especially when good play from the safety position can really take the down field stuff away, and limit what offenses can do.

So enough of this silliness about cutting Hall and firing Haz .... that's just crazy talk. If this defense needs anything, it needs a solid free safety that can make plays and take away the big plays deep.

Can you imagine how much better this team would be with Sean Taylor still back there playing free safety? One guy can really make a huge difference ... good or bad.

No mention of his smart play to pursue the lateral and return it for a TD. Nah, ignore that. Nothing to see there.

Sure, I wish DHall weren't so talkative -- except when he gets in Dallas' head. However, he is a talented corner. if he weren't, he wouldn't be starting. Simple.

Why should we blame any one player for that loss? RGIII took plenty of criticism last night and if you listened to his post game last night he completely owned his role.

Funny, When Jackson scored that TD after RG3s first pick I thought to myself that "the hate on DHall morons" would be out. To the football novice it looked like Hall was burnt on that play, when the culprit was the safety (I think Rambo in that case). The "horse colar" didn't look like he was trying to pull him down, but mearly holding on and then Jackson slipped after he went off field and his feet went forward. The refs had to call the horse colar because Hall did pull him down by his shulder pads, but what ticket me off was they didn't throw the flag for the retailiation whne Jackson shoved Hall back to the ground as he was trying to get up.

There is a reason coaches resist starting rookie safeties. Laron didn't start until his 4th or 5th game. There's just too much to learn. I still have high hopes for Rambo, but that had to be a difficult set of lessons.

We'd have been so much better served by Reed... say what you will... Reed Doughty would not have missed most of those tackles. He may be slow, but he doesn't make many mistakes, and he knows how to break down a runner in the open field.

Several Redskins went for the ball when it hit the ground and Hall was the closest. Glad he picked up the ball and ran it in, can't take that from him.

Only reason he is still starting for this team is we have major cap penalties and the secondary is a disaster and he is the best of bad options. I'd still cut him for being him.
