If freeing up cap space is something the Raiders are trying to do, that doesn't sound like a good trade at all.. Would AAA be a better number for Oakland? I'm guessing yes.
As always thanks for the breakdown of the number game!

True, but maybe we can get a draft pick out of the deal. We need plenty of that in the coming years.

AAA would only add $160K to Oakland's cap

We've drafted more plaer over the past three years than any other team (this is a good thing) and we have 7 draft picks next yaer.
While we could alway use more draft picks, it is media driven crap to think we are hurting for draft picks. This is based on past track record and the RG3 trade.
I'll wager, that after the 2014 draft (last year we owe any picks to anyone) we will have drafted more players over the past five years than all but a few teams.

This is a good player with tons of upside.
I would do the trade NOW in view of Brown's injury prone status.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

They want/wanted more than justey... heard Helu's name came up, might have been the deal breaker.
In that case no.

That doesn't sound like a player who's injured or about to get cut.

Several different guys have played the slot position, but if I had to bet right now I'd bet on Santana Moss as the slot receiver with Pierre Garcon and Leonard Hankerson as the starters outside. The Redskins believe Josh Morgan can play any of the three spots. [/quote]
What?! But forum dwellers said he's a bum?!? Lol

So much for the Hankerson rumors...

Washington Redskins receiver Leonard Hankerson having a strong training camp
It has been a solid training camp for Washington Redskins receiver Leonard Hankerson, a second-year pro who has been one of the team’s more consistent pass-catchers in practices.
While free-agent addition Josh Morgan has been plagued by a hamstring injury, Hankerson has made a strong bid thus far for a prominent role in the team’s receiver corps alongside Pierre Garcon and Santana Moss.
“It always can be a whole lot better,” Hankerson said Monday. “But I feel like I’m right there. I feel like I’m getting better. I feel like I’m doing what the coaches ask me. And I feel like I’m taking a step each and every day, and that’s what it’s all about.”

Oh trust me, he is not just referring to you...
Oh there's people like me??

Honestly it seemed like I was the only one anti-Hanky.

Hopefully Hankerson comes in and does it up, but i'm not holding my breath.
I hear what you and LPJ are saying. Totally agree that "reports out of training camp" are a far cry from getting it done once the season starts. I bet you can pull up some optimistic "reports out of training camp" on Malcolm Kelly if you start digging through google.
The original rumor in this thread though was "1) Hankerson will not be ready to start this season. Worse, there seem to be indications that he may not heal fully to play without risk of serious re-injury."
This one rumor I'm glad to see isn't proving true!
I have no issues with anybody posting rumors btw. Nothing better to do during the summer then speculate over rumors...
