Saw this guy Robinson at the all-star challenge. Very athletic. Is the guy from Keenan and Kel named Keenan Robinson?

Thank you.

Keenan Robinson is former teammates with Brian Orakpo. They're good friends who still train together from time-to-time. per Grant Paulsen

Robinson is 6-3 242. Good size for an ILB. Hopefully he's a player. I don't know much about him, but if he started for three years at Texas you would think he knows the game.

he isn't a guaranteed success???? that's your reasoning for drafting another qb onto a team with one of the worst rosters in the NFL???

your team just spent 3 first round draft picks and a high 2nd round draft pick on the guy and all u can say is he isn't a guarantteed success so the team should use another draft pick on another qb???

you sir are one of those certified Kool aid drinkers. enjoy the fail.

Why are you on this board? Don't you have your own qb controversy going on? you worry about your colt McCoy/weeden situation and let us be

Can we make the THN website a parental guidance site so this guy can't come on anymore?

I am going to say the next pick is a DB - speicifically a CB.

That is because Kellen Moore will be off the boards. :)

Shanahan continues to draft players who played in the Senior Bowl, Cousins and Robinson...

He drafted a number of senior bowl players last year as well...

maybe that points to Josh Norman, CB of Coastal Carolina in the 5th... He had a lot of buzz at the Senior Bowl this year

What gives???

This is not right no matter what spin anybody puts in it.

Crazy

I think OTA's and and mini camps just got more exciting - RGIII is safe. Kirk Cousins is safe, but I don't think Rex is safe and I don't think that Beck is the odd man out. Rex has proven that he won't change, but Beck has only been given limited time to improve.

We all watched T.J. Yates play welll enough as a rookie in this offense to get the Texans to the play-offs, why can't Cousins do the same if need be (and hopefully it won't need be).

Day 1 QB depth = RGIII, Beck and Cousins.

How about that spin, RiC?

Adam Gettis is a great pick they run a zone blocking scheme just like the Skins in Iowa City. I'm only about 20 mins away and was reading in the paper this morning that Gettis really liked watching the way Shanny's put together OLines and Kirk Ferentz had him watch A LOT of game tape from both Denver and Washington plus Texas. Hopefully he pans out for us he does have durability issues though which is why he probably dropped to the 5th round. He's also a lot stronger than what you would think at his size.

Wes Bunting:

An undersized, athletic looking guard prospect with a little natural girth through his base. Has the frame to get bigger, but needs to continue to fill out physically and get stronger. Exhibits a good initial burst off the snap and can keep his pad level down into contact. However, gets a bit straight-legged at times sitting into his stance. Doesn't consistently gain leverage with his hands into contact and routinely can be overwhelmed when trying to create a push off the football. A better step and seal guy who takes good angles inside, gets his body around and is coordinated on the move. Does a nice job dropping his pad level at the line or in space and chopping defenders down on contact.

Exhibits natural change of direction skills in pass protection. Extends his arms well, can keep his base under him and plays with better leverage as a pass blocker. Isn't a real physical puncher though and even when he does get his hands on a defender, can be overwhelmed vs. a stronger punch and either shed or walked into the backfield

Impression: Needs to add more weight and get a bit stronger in order to give him a chance at the next level. However, is a coordinated lineman in both the run and pass game and could end up getting looks as a zone guy at the next level and stick as a free agent because of his pedigree.

Shanny wants to make up for not drafting QBs in the last two drafts. :)

Not entirely inaccurate. That he didn't find QB's he liked where he was picking as badly as we needed one is exactly why you pick one when they are there and they are one you like where they are. If he passes on a quality backup guy now it may be years before he can draft another.

Any more Senior Bowl guys that you think Shanny might like? Still think that you are on to something.
